Maria is my second wife and her family loved her first husband, we have now been married 16 years and they have never accepted me, they hardly ever chat to me and still keep close contact with her ex, i even cant remember the last birthday card i got from them

Aw that is such a shame, it's not your fault though, I guess it is just coz Maria was married before and they got attached to him, but they still should accept you especially after you have been together such a long time now. I suppose you can't win em all
James mum passed away a while back now but she really liked me and she was really nice, James always said I was the only girlfreind she actually liked so I was lucky. James dad is re-married now and his new wife is lovely too, she's great and his dads really good too, they always make me feel really welcome so I guess I am just lucky.

It's one of those lovely autumn days the sun is shinning too. I like this time of the year when all the leaves are falling off the trees I was collecting conqueors the other day with my son.

My boys have collected loads of conkers and playing them at school, until last week when the school banned them due to a safety hazard
What a bloody joke

Whats_ina_name Posted Oct 17, 2005
It makes you laugh doesn't it. It's not like they took knives to school, and if they did the school probably wouldn't notice coz they'd be too busy confiscating conkers!

you could well be right, the boys coated them in vinegar and put them in freezer, drilled holes in them and stringed them, the following day all were taken away by teacher.

It all seems so over the top now. When I was at school we played conkers all the time. I don't remember anyone getting really hurt sometimes I think the schools just go to far. They should be happy the kids are outside having fun instead of behind the bike sheds smoking lol

Whats_ina_name Posted Oct 17, 2005
Exactly there is a lot worse the kids could be doing. The teachers would probably have a heart attack now then at the stuff we did like hop scotch someone might get hit with the stone I suppose that is banned too

I can see the next sports lesson.... tiddly winks, but that can be dangerous, you could have someones eye out with that
Drums
Whats_ina_name Posted Oct 17, 2005
it wouldn't leave room for any sports, even running, you might trip over your shoe laces , perhaps all the children should just sit still and not move, that way no-one will get hurt.

Just teach them religious education, cause that is very helpful to kids, cant understand why they still teach that

My son really hates that subject, he says it's really boring I don't know why they have to do it, I think it should be optional at least.
