, thanks for that
Whats the matter with you boy then?
I am fine, i was reading on wolfden chat about your sky box, we had the same thing about 2 years and the box packed in, i didnt know anything about the warranty, and after 13 months it went bang.....how ironic just one month after the expiry date
We now have sky+ and sky in the house, had warranty come through yesterday as its now been a year, they want £139.00 to cover both for 12 months, as if it doesnt cost enough already

My son started off with a cold but then he got a high temperature and couldn't stop coughing so I thought I'd best keep him off, he's a little better now though but spent the past 2 days in bed so I know he was really ill lol.
£139 is a lot of money for a warranty. We don't have sky+ but the best of it was when we rang to tell them it wasn't working they asked us if we wanted sky+ for £100 coz it would cost us £65 to send someone out, but we decided not to get and just get someone out to look at ours. I'm sure they are programmed to break down just after the warranty is up lol

Lol well I don't suppose I can blame sky this time coz it was something to do with our receiver, something had to be changed on the dish. And we've had that for about 6 years and this is the first time summat has gone wrong with it.
Did you have a good weekend? We went to the Lakeside Aquarium and came back via the car ferry.

Hi Bk, I do seem to keep missing you!
The car ferry is near Hawkshead about 2 miles before there. Lakeside aqaurium is in Lakeside itself which is quite near windermere, we got the ferry from the other side near hawkshead and it takes you to bowness.
Hope all is well with you, my son has been sent home from school with an upset stomach, he only just went back on Monday but it can't be helped. The whole school must be germ infested, they should quarentine all the kids lol!

We're all good here, my son went back to school on Monday so I'm just hoping he doesn't catch summat else lol.

Marmite Posted Jan 24, 2006
Thats the problem with schools, most of the kids are spreading colds, flu, chicken pox or even head lice nowadays............there is no getting away from it

Whats_ina_name Posted Jan 24, 2006
I know, it's endless. I know all about headlice, my son spent half of the infants with it. *touch wood* he hasn't had it for a while now though. But there is always summat going around grrrrrrrrrrrr!

My boy has been off for a couple of days after chucking up and having bad cramps in the belly, they gave him medication from the doc's and it was tablets, he is only 12 and has never had tabs before, he hasnt swallowed one yet they just sit in his mouth and then he spits it out

Whats_ina_name Posted Jan 24, 2006
Aw. I hope he gets better soon, my son won't swallow tablets either, They should do some kind of liquid form for kids. It sounds quite similar to what my son had. But he seemed to pick up after a few days.

I know its daft, they know he is only 12 and always give him fluid med, i have trouble at my age taking tabs, i always gag on them

Whats_ina_name Posted Jan 26, 2006
I know what you mean, I'm not keen on tablets either, they always seem to get stuck in ny throat and they seem to get bigger and bigger! I hope your son is a little better today?

Just been varnishing my kitchen door,<D.I.Y expert now lol, had to do a food shop and then my parents and nephew came down for a bit. I took my son into town as well coz he wanted a gameboy game and being the nice mum I am, I bought him it lol!

I wish lol, no we have just put new doors up and that took a while coz they all needed doing around the house, so then I had to paint the door surrounds but I am painting them white so it took a fair few coats coz the paint was pretty crap, then I had varnish the doors after and I did it all myself so it took a while. Well apart from hanging the doors which we both did of course.
Looks like I will have to take the game back coz it isn't working, my son has just informed me. So I'll have to go tomorrow and swap it.
