2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Started conversation Sep 3, 2015
test. that is. tomorrow. 9 AM
bloods, then intermuscular injection
then more bloods, then they'll know what my adrenals are capible of
really hoping the intermuscular injection hurts more this time; was disapointed with the intermuscular injection of testosterone.... - no decent endorphins at all
got to be up so early... then bus to hospital to try breat rush hour traffic, and try not to go into addisonian crisis en-route, as I'll not take morning medication, as you can't take the hydrocortisone (cortisol replacement), before the test
- just hope I sleep tonight, unlike last nigh t

- I didn't get the inter-muscular injection!
no fair! - they just used my junky-like arm veins... - and I didn't feel any of the needles/injcetions! not fair
took bloods... injected with the synthetic ACTH.......
Bang! - haa! my adrenals were appropiately shocked; I could feel the cortisol hit my brain damnit!; turns out cortisol feels a lot better in the brain than does hydrocortisone; a lot less fuzzy... - almost had clear head, for like ten minutes, before the cortisol wore off/got used up...
Then they took more blood...
then I took my hydrocortisone... and got the useual fuzzy feeling bleh.
well, shall see what the resutls say
also spoke to the nurse, as she was the same one who gave me my testosterone injection; to try sort out their jumbled ocnfusing letters, and sort of established I'll contact them mid October, to think about blood test for testosterone, and another intermuscular testosterone injection
the loverly nurse, - the one that, gave me the test today, and the testosterone commented and made nice remakrs on my new jacket - its a ... sort of crimson/red/wine coloured 3/4 sleeve lined jacekt, with gorgeous beading details on it
I updated her on my abses, and the oncology side of things, and she commented.... something like...
"I bet they'll miss you in oncology.... they've probably never had anyone quite like you before as a patient...."
The other nurse today, the one who did the actual 'needle work' on my arm, - damn she knows how to handle a needle; I didn't feel either of them; and looking now, there are two tiny tiny little raised bits, so close to each other, where she did the two needles in
talk about accurate, they're within a milimeter or two of each other
- I think the main nurse, the one who didn't do the needle work today, who did inject with the testosterone err, coule weeks back though, I think she was hankering after an invit to W and I's marrage...
following that logic, ther'll only be MDs, Drs and suchlike at the marage at this rate
We walked past the corridor to my oncologists room, twice, to get to /from endocrinology.--
We made suitable silly jestures in her general direction each time, - the seocnd time I got the most odd of looks apparently from an ordily pushing a bed down the corridor - I think I may have done some rather rude jesture...
I think I'll wear a dress next time I visit endocrinoology for a testosterone injection... Julie will like that... - afterall; I'm only there to entertain the nurses
Key: Complain about this post
