oh nos! anything but that! smiley - grovel - unless its my inability to 'get' time anymore.... I still struggle to work out what year it is, partly I guess my memory loss doesn't help, but something wierd with the meds I think,; time is just.... a singularity... there is 'past' there is 'now' and there is 'future' - its like my brain can't work out there is a difernt time of ten years ago, VS 10 days ago, or 10 months ago, or 10 months in the future... I just cna't picture the differnce soemtimes between teh differnt levels of time span smiley - weird - very zen in a way.. I can but just live in the moment... . which, actually, thinking about it, I always kinda did anyhows smiley - laughwell... maybe I can climb a 10 ft tall tree smiley - zen I'm not entirely sure how optamistic I'd have to be to believe for sure I'd be about in twenty years smiley - laugh oh... I keep forgetting... I'm immortal now ... I think...

Have you gotten a plant pot for your seeds yet?

Thought I'd retire 'Radish'...

Post 146

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

nope..... not yet... from instructions I've seen, to grow here, I need to wait until spring to get them planted, indoors, in pots, to germinate, then get them to a good height and strength, inside, before planting outside, in early summer smiley - zen - at the moment with the heating on, I think they'd just not get enough water inside, and dry out too quickly to germinate smiley - doh I must go read up again on the growing instructions though, make sure I've got it right how to germinate them etc smiley - zen

*mutters about making a point to get redwood seeds, and now wondering if they're too old to germinate* smiley - winkeye

Hey, do you ever use FB Messenger any more? There's some stuff I'd like to talk about privately (actually privately, not "Eh, no one's going to read this" privately). If not, do you have my email address? Or is your email address still [email protected]?

Yep; I've got FB messenger on the IPad, and can use it there; remember my FB account now, is the one with my middle name, as I got locked out of my old FB account which was the one with just my first and surname smiley - zen - we've now got the redwood seeds in pots, hoping they'll germinate smiley - grovel - just lacking much sunlight or warmth here at the moment smiley - grovel - sorry I was just so forgetful at getting it sorted to plant them out... seeds are pretty resilient, so they still oughta be viable I think smiley - grovel

True--and keep in mind, the coastal redwoods are native to an area with a very similar climate to yours, so lots of heat isn't necessary. I'm actually amazed that there were some in the park around 2 corners from us when we were in Sacramento, actually (also tired ATM, so I'll write you the personal stuff when my brain is working.)

Sorry about that huge info dump over there--if you want, I can try to reword and condense it a bit when I have time to think before going to bed before work...

Yep, and even spelled rightsmiley - bigeyes And it appears you did get the gist of it. I figured the whole thing needed processing time, so I wasn't getting too concerned--especially since I know that there've been technical issues in the past when one half of a FB Messenger conversation is using the chat function via the website, and the other is using the Messenger app. Then again that's been a few years ago, so that's probably been sorted. If I hadn't heard anyting by tomorrow, I probably would've asked if you'd even gotten it (I also know you've got a lot on your plate...)

Its odd, for me being this busy, with almost but not quite real grown up having a job type things... not only a job, but a physically tiring job, as mostly it involves lifting weights at gym, or doing cardio, whilst helping customers/clients smiley - puff - plus now actually starting our Personal trainer qualifications; although the first qualification we do is 'gym instructor', then we can progress to the personal trainer stuff (a slightly slow way of doing it; but as we do volunteer work at the gym, which is a charity; they pay for us to take the qualifications) smiley - zen - and of course, first time in my life being this busy with work type stuff; and the time I'm least able, physically and mentally to do it, thanks to the hormone stuff - all performed through the brain fog and chronic fatigue... though I seem to have killed the chronic fatigue by exercise smiley - puff

Having said which... not sure what I did today at gym... some cardio some upper-body weights, and a lot of ankle weight-work (I did my wrists a few days back) smiley - puff but I just fell fast asleep this afternoon after lunch; in the exact same way I never* fall asleep... proper physical fatigue I guess smiley - laugh

Using the IPad or my phone for messenger is why its spelt right; the automatic spell correct thing smiley - laughsmiley - blush

Wait... How do you use a touch screen device? Lots of Siri or whatever use? And dictation?

My current job is also the most hours I've worked, both in a day and in a fortnight--12 hour shifts, on a rotating schedule (I don't mean I bounce between days and nights--same hours, just different days), which means I work 7 days out of a fortnight. The rotations are set up so that the 2 days sifts (and the 2 night sifts, for that matter) alternate who works Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This coming up weekend is my 3 day weekend. I will say that, on average, I get more respect from the inmates than I did from students!

Students are dispicible! - no wonder inmates give you more respect! smiley - laugh

Touchscreens; I've got an IPad, and also an android phone (and come tomorrow I'll also have a snazzy new sports watch, which is sort* of android)…. - basically a screen reader on it; talkback on android and voiceover on the apple stuff; I touch the screen and it speaks what I touch; E.G., links, or reading text etc; if I want to 'click' or select something, I use a double touch/tap instead of a single; so I touch the screen, move through the links until I find the right one; then to activate it double tap... - also shortcuts to just start continueous reading; E.G., reading through a long bit of text like in a journal article etc... smiley - zen

been busy again smiley - puff mainly with gym, plus a few nights out at the pub, including hearing some rather good live music smiley - musicalnote - not turned ht ePC on in ages... HooToo still seems hopeless to use on a touchscreen/mobile smiley - doh

Gym again tomorrow, had one client today a young lad with cerebral paulsy, in a wheelchair, who's got really good upper-body strength, we do a lot of boxing with him, plus lifting weights, cable pull etc smiley - puff - did a workout myself too, cardio, leg press, then free weights smiley - puff only one client tomorrow, as the other one is still ill, another wheelchair user, this one with MS... - will have another workout, simular to today, but I'll skip legs as I did a lot on legs yesterday, and do more upper-body weights I think plus cardio bits smiley - puff

smiley - ok

Tom's trying to start up fitness classes in town (not our town, but the next, which is 8 miles away--our "town" consists of a post office, a church, and a game processor (meat game, not fun game) smiley - laugh), so we'll see how that goes... I'm theoretically doing a workout he made for me, on my days off work (no way I'm doing stuff after working 12 hours) but I haven't actually done any yet, except in last week's inaugural Monday evening class... Oh, did you see on FB where I bragged about Tom coming in second over all and first in his age range in his first 5K run on Friday? smiley - biggrin

Yep, I saw about his running victory! - I'm still rubbish at running, get tired too quickly, and it hurts ankles and hips too much to make me want to do it often smiley - doh - that's running on treadmill though, I do find running outside, on more natural terraine a lot easier to do smiley - weird

I don't care what anyone says--walking/running in place is a totally different motion from actually getting somewhere.

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

Totally! smiley - puff treadmills I'm sure are bad in the long-run for joints etc, in a way actual running outside, pavements/concrete, or grass/earth, just isn't smiley - zen

Mind, yesterday, I was doing bear-crawls from one end of the weights room to the other, with the gym manager, and then doing sets of squats, whilst we swaped positions smiley - puff

Off to gym in the next hour, one client this morning with MS, and then if she's well enough, one later today who has CP, plus getting in some exercise ourselves inbetween… biceps today I think smiley - puff and probably some cardio on the elyptical smiley - puff porridge eaten smiley - zensmiley - run
