Bored... Haven't talked for ages... Learned my phone card is expired... shall I email you my phone number again, or do you have it somewhere easy to find?

Annoying how this and the other thread just turn into phone call threads, isn't it? Especially since phone calls aren't the same as they used to be. I miss the long rambling calls... *sigh*

Would you rather I drop the whole coming over to visit thing? I mean, after all, it was really mentioned first in jest, and, while we were pretty close for awhile (at least I thought so, 'little bro'), we've drifted the last few years. If you *are* still interested in coming, you're more than welcome, but if you're not, I can understand. Air fare is getting more expensive by the week, it seems, and there always seems to be some vital purchase or nearby trip. Heck, you haven't even responded to my latest journal yet, and it's getting ready to roll over to the 4th page.

I think I better stop there, or this will turn into a huge pity-party.

I wish I'd responded to your last jorunal entry before it got so long!; I hesitated and now there is a whole host of backlog to crawl through
Yeh, I don't know what changed really, me I guess... I think the coming over thing is still looking kinda unlikely for various reasons, maybe one day who knows I don't really know why we don't seem as close as we used to; I think in some ways I've just drifted away from H2G2 a bit over the years, I know I'm still here a fair bit, but its just such a differnt place to what it once was
I miss you too I really just don't know why we seem to have drifted apart so much But we're still friends I hope? Actually its quite weird to think of the people who in my first few years on here I would be talking to a lot/all the time, very few I think are still about in the same way they were/at all

Yeah, the whole feel of the place is completely different--if it had felt like this back when I found h2g2, I don't know if I would've gotten as hooked Then again, Happy Nerd's just been here about a year, and she seems almost as enthusiastic as we were, once. At least, it wasn't hard to talk her into meeting

I think it's safe to say we've both changed a bit--at least, I'm pretty sure becoming a mom has changed me just a little! And the moving, and the reasons for moving...

I really shouldn't have shoved the journal thing in your face--I was a bit last night anyway, and starting to feel you were just sorta tolerating me, and I saw the fact that you hadn't said anything as proof that you didn't care

Yes... As the site is now I don't think it would have grabbed my attention quite as much as it did back when I first joined, threesecondmemory, (whatever happened to him), Deakie, vogonpoet (who has come back now but again just lost touch really with him), and everyone else from back then... Helped spend a lot of my time in the early hours when I was ment to be doing my Masters I think also as I kind of didn't come on much at all for a long while (just quick visits), and then with various things that have changed in my life, finishing uni, eventually getting a job, and spending a lot of time inbetween uni and getting a job not doing anythign
I don't know why I didn't comment in your journal earlier on, I saw it pop up not long after you'd posted it, not even sure if anyone else had replied at that point, but I guess I just din't know what to say I'm not relaly a 'kid'/children person in many ways... Despite beign a godparent, I guess I just don't have that father/parenting thing You can keep nagging me if you like... AFterall its gotten to be a bit of a running joke by now its been so long going Right I must go wash up and get ready, have a friend popping round in a while and then we're off out for a while

Did you call the tiler yet? Or the electrician? How's the purchase of the CO monitor coming along?

The electrition came round yesterday, was here an hour and a half and came back today for ten mins to finish off by putting in a new transformer for the kitchen lights... So that is sorted
Now that is done, I'll try tommorrow to call the tiler...
The co monitor?; I'm still contemplating that one actually I think a fire/smoke detector might be a good idea too for somehwer ein the house

I always know it's been too long since I've had an "accent fix" when I catch myself saying, "Bloody" If it keeps on, I may even catch myself saying, "Blimey," and that's something that, for some reason, I associate with 10-year-old boys

Not too bad, cept my PC has utterly died

We've replaced the video card.... Refitted the processer fan.... and it seems that we've narrowed the problem down to either the motherboard and/or processer
Asides that... all been pretty dull really of late how about you?

Not all that much interesting here--mostly gearing up for events, doing events, recovering, repeat (I owe just about everyone a big journal) Grace is growing like a weed!

Are you home yet? I've got cheap international rates to landlines again (calls to mobiles are 7 times the price, though, so no go!) and I don't have your dad's number anymore. I suppose I could've emailed you and gotten it again, but that's only just occurred to me
