2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Posted Dec 18, 2001
Yeah, its my last day today: leaving early tomorrow morn (if the van arrives on time, 8 or 9 am hopefullly...):
I'm off out tonight to Bar XS with threesecondmemory, and captain kabab i think, its the comedy night: XSmalarkey, christmas special thing: so more comedians than useual; plus will be last chance to see threesecondmemory and cap kabab for a while, Hmm, not sure if they are going to the London meet in Jan I am hopefully.... though I'll not drink too much tonight, as I've all this stuff to take down in the morning, and help pack in teh van, and then a boring 4-5 hour ride back home, and unpacking... though I might be going out Wednesday night when i get back, rather than unpacking

Well hope you got back home. I'm back from Uni also. I'm glad that I will get to see my friends from college and school but will miss those I know from Uni. They all live a little too far away to make visiting a possibility.
Anyway. I'm looking forward to loads of xmas .

Yeah, not half:
I hadn't used audiogalaxy for months and months, went to use it the other week: had to download the newest version of the satellite thing: and there isn't anything you can download I had a look at a couple of other simular things: but most of them make you download other softwear you don't really want, and which spies on where you go on the internet and what you do and messes up things generally; so I gave them a wide whatsit and avoided them..... and anyhow; i really don't have ability with this slow connection to download tons of mp3...
: speaking of which I was backing up my files and stuff the other day, onto CDRW: and i looked at my "my music" folder: which is only just under 2 GB in size and so I didn't bother backing them all up : and I've only used just over 2 GB of my hard drive in total!: including windows and office, and all my Uni files and stuff.... So hows non-University life going?

There is one that I've found called KaZaA Lite or something which doesn't have spyware. The normal kazaa does have spyware so you need to get the lite one. Only trouble is that it isn't nearly as good as audiogalaxy It is like napster really which is okish.
*'s to count up mp3 space*
3.7 gig of music.
Non uni life is a little although I haven't started my graduate job yet so its not so bad
How about you<?> What you been up to<?>
Are you attending the meet up tomorrow<?>

I was* ment to be attending the meet: but I didn't get myself organised in time, and now I've a horrible sore throat type thing which hopefully will clear up soon, or its a trip off to see the and ...
I'm boared, now I'm at my dads, but I should be heading back to cambridge in a few weeks or so, hopefully to start the PGCE course in September... After which I might have to get a job, or find that illucive PhD Though I suspect a job might be quite a sensible ploy at that point in time, provided I get on to start the course but It will be good to be back in Cambridge back in my house (which the tenants have now lef) though not having that income from the rent every month is a bit of a shock: though if I get on the PGCE I'll get quite a bit of grant to study so, at the moment I'm just waiting and drinking too much when I should be saving money Oh well : I'll probably wait till I'm back in Cambridge, and got broadband hooked up before I try and get another MP3 sharing thing up and going, but I'll have to see Oh, and I've been playing the guitar quite a bit recently

I really wanted to go to the meet but I guess that if i can't i really really can't. Anyway, i've been working and sorting out stuff for my graduationand sorting out graduate jobs and the like so fairenough I suppose. I really should go and find my guitar. I've not played it for ages. My graduate job might bring me down to cambridge area so I could help in the search for
Anyhow, for now the search is for

well if you end up near Cambridge you'l have to pop down to my house, and we could search a few of the local pubs What guitar do you have? : I've only a few guitars at the moment : we could have a Jam if you could make it to Cambridge

Tonto Posted Jul 27, 2002
perhaps I should mention that I am not good at the guitar. I really should play it more
It is a Fender Squire Strat and it plays nice, but it is just one I got to mess around on really
What do you have<?>

Big Green Smiley Posted Jul 28, 2002
I've been playing for years, though I'm not really that* good ; my main electric is a yamaha pacifica that has been tinkered with and has a couple of new pickups, a path pro and something else then I have my strat, which is a Fender I got second hand for £140 I seem to remember; quite a bargen, and it was almost new it isn't an american one, I think its a mexican one, but it sounds nice then, I have a washburn tonewood, which hasn't worked for about the last four or five years, which was the reason I got the Yamaha : i really should get the washburn fixed; but it will probably cost more to get sorted than it would cost to buy a new one (second hand)... Oh, I've a semi-accustic, which is also a yamaha, which is the only guitar i have that I actually brought new as a pressent to myself near the end of my undergraduate degree Oh; i've a really old knackered Marlin strat copy thing, which I only keep because no one would give me any money for it and I've a second hand honner bass guitar that I rarely use quite a few I guess.... ; no wonder why I have to hire a van to move further than next door and I've a Marshall valvestate amp, and a multieffects unit I got recently, which was quite a bargin, only £100 new! and it doesn't sound too bad either though, as I say, having lots of guitars isn't that much compensation for me not being that* great a guitarist <?>

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Posted Jul 29, 2002
Well, I do everying from Black sabbath, to a little Clapton, and blues, jazz.... the wird thing Is that Normally I don't know more than a few notes from any single song, but tend to write stuff, and just jam...
But, quite often in a bizzre combination of all the musical styles i listen to , so every thing, from Zappa to metallica and jethro tull and anything else, prettyh much which, I gues doesn't help well the effects were RP200, or was it RP100, either way, give it a few monts they will have the next model out for the same price: Its not that much differnent from any other multi effects I've tried, but it is pretty good, ; I still recon teh individual pedles is the best way: although a lot more xpensive I guess its a question of trying, i think Zoom do a pedle for a simular price, as the Rocktron and all the others have something simularly priced I only got this one, cause it was the one they had in the local shop! :
I did have a zoom but it went majorly wrong : though I still guess I'm going to rip it open and have a play and see if it works I really should go to be d soon night

I downloaded some metallica music. Some of it is really quite simple but other bits I find rather dificult
Other than that I just play (well try to) tunes with power chords in although I don't know what i'm playing, I just know if it sounds right

If it sounds right then that's the main thing : I find it very difficult trying to figure out music off CD/tape, so generally I don't bother and settle for making stuff up
