Folic acid, that's what you need for a good memory, I'm told. I just keep forgetting to take them. Also good for pregnant women, they say.

Another AAADD-syptom; spending HOURS (or it seems like a long time anyway) in a supermarket, roaming from isle to isle, forgetting where you left the trolley, go to the back and front of the shop and getting a growing urge to push people face-forward in a huge tower of canned beans.
Maybe I should go easy on the coffee before I go shopping!

Never go grocery shopping high on coffee (or anthing else for that matter), extremely hungry, or extremely full.

AAADD grocery shopping symptom #2 - running to the store for a specific ingredient and 1 hour later leaving with $100 in groceries, but not the item you went there for in the first place.

Grocery-AAADD syptom three: always remember you've forgotten that item when you're at home, the groceries are in the cupboard and fridge, tea is served, cat on lap and it's three minutes to closing time.
Said item is ALWAYS essential to the recipe you're going to make...

Do the stores close? Our are open pretty much 24/7.

AAADD Grocery symptom #4 - Remember while shopping to pick up neccessary said item, but forget to actually put it in the car and drive away, leaving it in shopping cart.

Just a side note that really is sort of related, well in a completely off hand way....

I've been trying to find an envelope so I can mail off a bill for the last 1.5 hrs. I finally found the envelopes in my desk.... somehow I got distracted by the computer on my desk.... the bill and check are now missing.

Where do you usually fill them in ? At the kitchen table ? They'll probably be there then. Or wherever you usually sit doen to do these things

Yeah, the problem is for a while I was carrying them around as I wandered looking for the envelopes, in between which I got a cup of , picked up my sis from the auto shop (while her car got oil change), and answered the phone.

so typical... It's not too big of a deal at this point, by now I've missed the mail run and won't be able to send it until Monday.

Oh well, it wouldn't have been sent tomorrow anyway, would it ?

Try in the car...I have an unposted letter that i am convinced is in vikings car; he denies it & says i have probably left it in the bathroom, using it as a bookmark.

good idea Terri, that's where I often put letters and bills -in my books as bookmarks, ensuring I'll find them next time I pick the book up

Under 'l' for letter, the 'b' for bill? I always put them in a very handy place, but I later forget where that handy place was at that moment, mostly in a room that I, for some reason, don't visit for a week or so. By then, I've received a reminder for the bill or the letter's lost the actual reason for sending it because I tackled the subjects in an email.
Teri! we don't (yet) have 24/7 shops over here, it's a pity; I'd like to recreate that opening scene of the Big Lebowski someday!
