by the way Red, I missed the button thing, though I've heard some jest about it. How bout you give me the short version of the story?

Oooooo, the Button is a good story. Pull up a chair, make yourself comfortable and I`ll begin . At the beginning of the Cat War, BBW and myself were discussing what weaponry we`d need to develop to fight the Cat menace and in an idle offhand remark BBW suggested that as curiosity killed the Cat a CURIOSITIZER would be a very handy thing to have around. So I built a real Curiositizer using a guide entry and a Button. It works like this - at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A613847 there is a Button which says Cats press here etc. If you fill in the details and press the button it makes posting at the Curiositizer page at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A613865 on thread http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/F74719?thread=134149 (Bad Luck Kitty you`ve just been zapped by a Curiositizer) and Voila, your Cat is curiositized. I posted on dozens of Cat pages to attract them to it in August of last year . To date we`ve caught 10 Cats and their names are on the gullibility register at the ACF Science Centre at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A604667 We would have caught more but Mandragora made a post on the button page which tipped a few cats off - Sgt Mushroom included . Anyhow I have been remorselessly following Sgt nagging her to press the button for months and months. Hence the comment above. To up the ante I`ve put her own special button on the page now which you`ll see when you go there. Sorry bout my absence...I was in Chicago for a few days!

I come back and find that:
--the ACF has a new elite division forming (inspired in part by a conversation in my temple!)
--Mount Olympus has apparently adopted jam as a replacement for Ambrosia!
--The new Shrines at Olympus are beginning to look good!
--I miss H2G2 after only 3 days

Welcome back Apollo, yes your question got me thinking about how to get the Sarge and into a whole new ball game with Les Chiens Rouge and then that got me into thinking about the Cat of the Year competion ! All from one little posting
