Feeling Confident!

Now I am feeling better. I have made a decision: to take note of my dreams. I believe we get guidance from our subconscious that way. So from now on I will try and remember my dreams every night, write them down, and ponder them. I think self-knowledge is very important for making the right choices, and for following them through.

Now that I am feeling better I am considering changing the introduction above into something a bit more positive.

Feeling depressed...

I am feeling quite down lately. I just read things that people wrote about only the strong surviving in our society. Therefore it is good and right that people who cannot compete with the richest, smartest, most talented, most aggressive, best looking individuals in society be allowed nothing and left to die. Suppose you took that to the extreme. Suppose you pushed this competitiveness until EVERYBODY was dead except the ONE person who was absolutely best at everything in the world. Wouldn't that be a wonderful thing? After all, then evolution has reached its pinnacle in that one person. All the weaker members of the species have been eliminated, so the species must be stronger than ever. Makes sense, doesn't it???

With this competitiveness, what is happening is that a small group of people in the world is becoming incredibly rich and powerful while the rest of the world becomes more deprived and miserable. The supercompetitives kid themselves that all these other people are weak, stupid, lazy, useless. They justify their own power by believing in their own superiority. They believe, "We have won, we are the victors, our way of life rules!" but they have only a limited perspective. They don't realise that their power is only temporary. It is power that they gained at a huge price and will only have for a very short period. And because of their short term abuse of power countless multitudes of people who are every bit as smart, as talented, as hardworking as they are will never have the remotest opportunity to do anything but suffer the agony of misery and squalor for their entire, short lives.

Competition sucks! Compassion is the way to go! It is our only future! The winners aren't better people than the losers! They have only been lucky, but their luck is not going to last forever!

To ANY guy who goes on about the "survival of the fittest" I want to ask this: would you be satisfied, then, if somebody who's fitter than you came along and squashed you?

Pictures and Offsite Links

Well, it seems I'll have to build a new website to put my pictures on, and put a link from here to there. Oh, if only the BBC would relent! I only used my very own photographs and illustrations!
