Staffordshire is in the north-western part of the Midlands, and is famous for its pottery industry. If you go there, make sure you get the right train - you want Newcastle Under Lyme, Newcastle Upon Tyne is a rather long way away!

And I just looked it up, George Washington was born in Pope's Creek, Westmoreland County, Virginia ... but close, PF! You can't be President of the US if you weren't born here, sorry ...
