Robbie G, why did you have to get your hair cut, why why why ? It looked SO much better with the little floppy fringe! And why the hell did they show a 3 second interview clip with King Adora at T In The Park on TV and not show any of their set? *Kevin the teenager voice* it's so unfair!

Forgot to mention this yesterday, but the School Leavers' Service was pure cheese (possibly Swiss, ie. no one like it and it was full of holes). We had about 5 mins to rehearse and we were in a bad mood from not being allowed to do a 6th Year Rag, so you can imagine the effect it had. And the entire school in front of us was in tears because the school's closing down and being taken over by Hutchie. To top it all off we didn't get our promised cream cakes. Oooh, I wasn't happy. But then when the whole school cleared out to go home we connected the CD player to the big PA speakers and danced about the hall taking photos to the sounds of 'We Dream The Same Dream' by Belinda Carlisle and 'Praise You' by Fatboy Slim. Then we made the traditional pilgrimage to Burger King. Their sales must shoot up on the last days of terms because of the amount of schools nearby (us, Kelvinside, Notre Dame, the Uni...) AND we managed to avoid having to clear out the common room! Result!

Bargains

Don't you just love cheap shops? I got the entire HHGTTG video set for £3.99 in Oxfam, and the Mo*Ho*Bish*O*Pi 'Playboy' single for 49p. There are at least two Mo*Ho*Bish*O*Pi singles in any charity shop in Glasgow, it's like they're breeding. And the 'Time' single by Marion is always there as well.
And I got 'Doolittle' and 'Surfer Rosa' by the Pixies for £4.99 each in HMV! And two leather studded belt bracelets for 25p each in Internationale. God I love cheap stuff. And I'm modifying my old school blouses, now that I no longer need then: i've chopped the sleeves off and drawn things on then in pink fabric paint, and i'm using leftover denim from shortening my jeans to decorate them as well. I'm feeling very creative just now.
And I found out that I got three prizes at school instead of two: crafty Miss Tomney the librarian had just transferred one of them into a Waterstones £10 voucher instead of putting it in with the rest of my prize; knowing full well that Waterstones vouchers are also redeemable in HMV
And finally, King Adora are in Rock Sound (the one with Muse on the cover) on pages 48 and 49. That made me very happy.

Just a quick one to shamelessly brag that I got two prizes in school this year: Economics and Literary Contribution to the School Magazine; so I've got £18 to spend on books of my choice. I see my Discworld collection expanding...
