Isolation is not...

...so bad!
I have settled down now and am quite enjoying myself. I had not met the other participants before and now that I have, they are lekker (nice) people.
We have received our first task which involves studying the picture library, looking for pics to decorate our rooms with. Sounds easy but, trust me, it's not.
Well, off I go the library again.

Bandwagon Day 1

Well here I am, in isolation in a stunning house. The house is really lovely with a beautiful garden.
I arrived late, I think. Time differences confuse me big time.
Rama and I just had breakfast. Rama made a pot of delicious smelling porridge while I just settled for cereal and juice.
The others are waking up slowly and wandering through to the kitchen and the lounge.

On Wednesday I received a wonderful gift from Oregon in the USA.
The story starts a while back when I accidently came across a website featuring the late Skinny Rowland's poetry. This accident resulted in the poem I put on my page. The moderators were unhappy and so I made contact with Lorraine Eckhardt, Skinny's sister, to ask permission to use the poem. Lorraine gave me permission to use any poem I wished and visited h2g2, happy to see my chosen poem on my page. After corresponding a couple more times she offered to send me a copy of Skinny's book of poems. It arrived on Wednesday.
Thank you Moderators! If it weren't for you I may never have contacted Lorraine and thus would never have received this book which I will treasure forever.

I have an edited entry! I had all but forgotten about it. I find African traditions fascinating. One of my all time favouite movies is Shaka Zulu.
