Making the break

Post 1

GreyDesk

Yeah, I know I've scarcely been here in the last year, but I have been thinking about you in the meantime.

Well time has now come to make a break. It's been good fun over the years, and I've got a lot out of the site and the people who I've met here. But now it's time to go.

Cheerio. Have fun, and look after yourselves.

Surely you'll let us know when you come back anyway smiley - hug

Take care yourself, too.

Now why would you want to do a silly thing like that for?

I thought you were already gone, but you shouldn't just pop in to SAY you're gone!

This place costs nothing but what you put into it. Since you've scarcely been here for a year, it's been quite affordable for you. If you feel the need to put in even less, feel free. Just drop in and check on the place every once in a while, like a holiday cottage by the lake.

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

You can't go! Its gainst the house rules to go.
Small children in the street will be tearful, torn asunder by the news, young girls, all innocent until the bad news does reach them, men, women and children lamenting loudly the departed.
Besides which... if you go... you might be turned into a diety against your will smiley - winkeye

So will someone volunteer to moan about bicycles in Brighton at least once a year?

I'll still remember Bluebottle heading off to Reading station to meet you, knowing nothing but your name and having to get the loudspeaker to ask for "... Mr Greydesk to come to the Information Desk..."

If you do decide to pop back, I look forward to seeing you again. smiley - hug

I never did get round to visiting you in Brighton. I shall however treasure the memory of us spending a good 20 miutes or so decorating Mu Beta's face after he passed out on my couch. *And* him driving home like that.

Serves you right for not having a wash or looking in the mirror before you left our place.

Going to service stations, fast food drive throughs and other such places is made much more amusing when you're sporting such decoration. It's the way people so desperately want to ask and/or stare, but they're too polite to do so. Brilliant.

I think as he gone I don't suppose he'd mind somebody taking up that chalise. I'm not voluteering either (at least not until the General Election is out of the way).

So long and thanks for all the pies and bovril. smiley - hug
