And ladies like what I am wouldn't want it explained!
Sorry lads, I have the wind up my tail a bit. I had a great day out yesterday - and I *think* I may have found something to stop this bloddy pain I'm in. So I'm all whizzy whizzy whizzy and happy for once.
I'll keep you posted!

Well we were supposed to take it in to the depot today but there's a canny lot of sna blocking us in (even the school taxis aren't running) so I rang and pointed that out to them. they weren't impressed.

I wouldn't bother taking it back - if they want it that much then let "them" come and get it. Why help the foot that kicks you after all?

Tefkat Posted Feb 27, 2004
they're coming to collect iy next friday. it will cost me £6 but it would have cost us £7 to take it to them anyway (the advantage of taking it is that there are 6 or 7 charity shops in the town )
this is the chair the red cross loaned us. it was very kind of them to do that and they only do short term loans - are required to have them back to do maintenance and safety checks...

Now that you've got that weight off, you'll be wanting the lightweight sports model, won't you?

You should have taken it to them; it might have been fun sitting by the roadside in a wheelchair, hitch-hiking...
er...
Apart from the snow...

Count yourself lucky sweetie - all I ever get is final demands!!!
oh dear³ - how creaky can you get?.
plaguesville Posted Mar 4, 2004
Why do they call it a final demand?
They still keep on pestering after they've sent it.

The best bet is to wait until they send the debt collectors letter... then pay it full. Then your creditor has the dubious honour of paying twice as much as you owe them for the priveledge of you paying them.
Trust me, word soon gets around.....

"Pay it in full"
"Pay" ?
Must look that up in my Funk and Wagnall.

Moving On Posted Mar 5, 2004
Its an odd concept, I know, but alas, I seem to have been doing it most of my (relatively adult) life; sometimes, with money, even.
Funk and Wagnall? I haven't heard that phrase in YEARS. My dad was always looking things up in his Funk and Wagnall... when I finally discovered what it was, I didn't know whether to be releived or disappointed
