I geard an amusing anecdote on Radio 4 recently, about a politically correct parish church that pinned braille copies of every notice on the church noticeboard under the original... then shut them behind the glass case.

George Shearing, jazz musician, was once asked why, as he was blind, he insisted on having his LP covers adorned with pictures of beautiful women. He explained that he chose the models himself but it wasn't too difficult as he read Braille.
