Hello, I am tallenred. I live in Louisville, Kentucky, home of the Kentucky Derby. I am totally into thoroughbred horse racing but also have widely varied interests. I love to read. I like to cook. Please let me know if I can be of service, and I, for my part, will give a shout when I need help. I have much to learn.

The Stable

These are the horses I currently work with. The connections (Bob, Pete and I) were in the midst of a horrible slump (see below). We hadn't had a winner since the spring of 2000 when we went two for two on Derby week at Churchill Downs but, hey, that was fun. Our horses usually race at the claiming level, which means that they are for sale every time we run them. Bearing this in mind, the list will change from time to time. It's sometimes hard to let them go.

Bald Warrior

Fable Danzig She is now retired. Will soon be a momma.

Groovy Add Vice He's my old favorite. Nine years old and big and only has one eye. Just a gruesome empty socket where the right one should be. We ran him at Keeneland on Halloween day and the plan was to have a black eye patch made and get new silks, black with a white skull and crossbones, like a Jolly Roger, but the stewards wouldn't go for the patch so we didn't spend the $80 US on the silks. Pity.
