I didn't know the 'other half' was going to be away. I would've booked some time off.
Hey, maybe you can get one of those "While You Were Out" shows to come in and do all the stuff? They magically transform nearly entire homes in a one-hour episode
Yeah, yeah, I know, ... They take several days, and no, I don't watch them. Milady has 'em on while I'm nattering here.

*giggles* I wish they could attack the neighbor's yard! We have our yard professionally taken care of and you can literally see a line where our lush grass ends and the weed farm begins.

Oh lucky you, huh? To our south edge, new owners took over last year and are doing lovely things to pretty up the yard. But to the north, ... Do you remember the TV show "Green Acres"? That house was a step UP from the condition of the death-trap next to us. I've a tidy fence along that 120' boundary, but it's still a helluva eye-sore.

Yes. If we were staying I'd put up a fence to plant along and hide the neighbors yards. We have a mess on either side of us but one is far worse than the other.. one year the weeds in the front yard were waist high.. the back was just plain frightening.

So I gather you don't live right in the city core... Somewhat more on the "outskirts", eh? Have any dogs, kids, horses gone missing in those weed fields?
Just as a btw, you were gone for a bit, so I went and got meself all nekkid !!!
Okay and alright then, ... After moving a half-ton of topsoil into flower beds, I was a bit gritty. So walked through the get-wet-machine, ... And nearly feel human again.

After a long hard day a shower can feel just like heaven!
Yes. The house is out in BFE.. if I had my choice we'd live in Center City but PC likes having a huge house..

Indeed, that long soak of the beating hot-water. I make it a point of eliminating any "water-saver" features, ... 'cause there's nought much more soothing than a powerful jet on the shoulders and back.
A nice thing, or one of many, of our little city ... It's small enough that a fair sized property can be afforded. We're content with a 1200 square foot bungalow for the pair of us, and a pair of . On a lot 66' wide by an average of 105' deep, it's comfy without being overly demanding of our time and finances.

I actually prefer a nice big rainshower head in the shower.. so it's like standing in a warm (bordering on screaming hot) rain..

Yeah.. especially after I've been worked over by 'the punisher' (my trainer).. those long hot showers relieve all those abused muscles..

My "trainer" is my daily labours at work and at home. Between them, and this thingie called aging, I find enough aches and groans without paying someone to inflict more on me.

Lady, some of us never learn. The massive pains are often forgotten, and the fabulous feelings of the "after-glow" remain so much stronger.

*giggles* not sure what kind of exercise you're talking about that gives a wonderful after glow, but I'm fairly certain it's not a stair climber..

Well, I did try one of those once. But face enough of the real things daily.
But I was talking the feelings after the work and as the body winds down....

oh that... that's the shaky, pour me into my car please feeling I get as I ponder why The Punisher didn't simply take me outside and beat me against a rock, which would be far more efficient and acheive the same feeling..

Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted May 8, 2006
Ah, but that would be far too quick and easy. Punisher's are licensed sadists, and MUST earn their daily bread.

And just look at how many spin-off industries it all supports? Chiropractors, masseurs, tensor-bandages, liniments, ... The economic benefits go on and on.
Key: Complain about this post
