My Personal Intro
Hi there, Researchers!
I found this page when I was searching for information on the Blair Witch Legend. This is not very original, I will be the first to admit that, but I find mysteries... irritating. Especially when there is no pointer as to where to go in your investigation. All internet pages on this certain subject follow the same line of reasoning, with the same material to support it. Is this the result of information that was disseminated by the film crew, or does the legend really exist.
So, I bid you all to please post any info you might have on the Blair Witch: Is this an existing legend? Did Rustin Parr really hang for the crimes he was accused of? And so on and so forth.
You might all wonder why I have this hang-up on the Blair Witch? I originate from an island in the swedish Archipelago called Svartlöga. This place has been inhabited by seal hunters, farmers and fishermen since the beginning of 18th century. These people were very supersticious indeed, and many of the stories and tales still live on. So I guess you could say that I was weaned on brutal and horrific stories, and they still live on, through me and others whe spent their youth there.
What really made me register here though is the chance to maybe save something of our heritage. Nobody really thinks about the important issues anymore. Who are we? What makes me different from you, or the guy sitting across from me in the tube? Where does he come from? What´s her story? We are all different personalitys, with one common denominator: We are a storytelling species. Or at least we were... Now its all about technology, and climbing (preferably over bodies) to the top. So i find the initiative taken by the founders of this page an admirable one, and I will try to add as much palatable stuff as I can.
If you have any questions about Sweden in general or the Archipelago (the Skärgården) in specific, please post these and I will answer them as soon, and as accuratly as possible. Hope to hear from everyone and all... And hey! Merry Christmas!
