We've got elderly people (older than us), and people with compromised immune systems. We tend to be careful.

I sent Elektra with a recorder in her pocket, showed her how to use it, so that she could record the church music my sister was playing.

At first, I thought I'd *caught* the cold at church. But then I did the math - it was probably the historical society.

all medication etc for colds is claptrap and only for company profits.

I'm drinking a lot of fluids. And only taking the antihistamines I usually take so I don't complete choke.

as I tell folk when they talk about colds etc, I reply - your only attention seeking

True. The weird thing is, Elektra never catches anything.

for years, I only caught/had a cold at the start of winter and at the end - both lasted about 2 weeks
When I got with the "ex" and started a family, I got colds etc every few month etc
After IT left the colds lessened and then when the "kids" moved out back to start and end again

Aha. Relatives, also a cause of disease.

We have the "flu jab" at a certain age
after PJ came from the spinal unit back home"we" got the flu jab and I said to the district nurse at the time - I've already got a coldbut still got the jab - MY winter cold was a doozie!
I had the jab again after he got his own place and again my cold was 110% bad - I've NOT had a flu jab since

I remember in the early 70s that the flu shots sometimes made it worse. But I would't miss them now.

I had another one a year later and it was "reported" that it was 2 yr out of dateas "they" hadn't kept up with the latest strain of flu virusnot had one since

They keep up better now. Or they do here, anyway. It would dangerous around here to skip one - too many viruses going around.
