I wish. Those might be halfway interesting paintings. These seem to be mass-produced for the tourist market.
Working from home this morning - I know what you see in it!

Exactly. I find I work faster without my boss hovering over my shoulder constantly.

Yes, it is amazing what you can get done outside an office.
For example, since about 10 this morning, I've written a profusely illustrated interactive history activity, three online pages long, put together the next issue of the h2g2 Post, and composed 3 pages of the following week's issue, complete with illustrations. So I can afford to knock off now.

Wow, busy, busy!
I spent all day reading EU charters on tourism and heritage. Basically, we really should all try to cooperate and get along, because tourists bring peace and money.

What I love especially is how they always proclaim this like they're the first to ever think of it.

There's a lot of that going around.
I know you don't need any web distractions, but have you ever lurked on Reddit? I've fallen in lurve with a subreddit called Glitch in the Matrix. People around the world report Fortean or semi-Fortean occurrences, and everybody tries to explain them.
The conversations can be wonderfully entertaining...

Sounds like it's worth looking at, thanks!
Today, when I should have been packing, I was looking at this guy's work. He, er, balances rocks. And then photographs them. And it's amazing. http://www.gravityglue.com/

I looked at reddit, too, but the comment section makes my brain hurt - too much bickering!

Ooh, maybe we're reading different threads, then. The ones I saw on Glitch in the Matrix seemed pretty friendly.
Not always sensible, mind you. Just friendly and funny.

Could be. It's the internet, though, it tends to descend into name-calling...
I'm getting really annoyed at this daily spam everyone's conversations thing.

Bah humbug, anyway. What do they all want, a cookie for writing a journal?
I'm grumpy today anyway, doesn't help.

Thanks. Our supervisor has declared that as researchers, we should be grateful to get 4 hours of sleep per night and not expect coffee breaks. Morale is low.
