It does sound a bit soggy. But then, I'm sure immersing it in water wouldn't get the turf any wetter at the moment. *squelch*

smiley - rofl Yeah, you will.

Actor Stephen Rea told an interviewer once that if you wanted to see it, just watch Liam Neeson. No matter who he's playing, he walks like that.

smiley - laugh Don't worry - I'm sloooow anyway, hardly ever get any computer time these days!

I'm currently trying to tidy up my desk between jousting practice and swordfighting practice. It's great - living today, I get all the fun historic stuff but still have the internet!

smiley - rofl That's a good thought.

Today so far, I've had to send to New Mexico for a document, printed it out, got an emergency email from Seattle, and located the information on a map pprinted in 1775. Not bad, really.

Sounds like you're having fun, at least - and old maps are great!

I had my second interview this morning. This one was teaching kids about science and getting girls interested in engineering, using the transport museum's collections. There were only three candidates, of which I was the only female, so I have a fairly good chance smiley - smiley (Reverse sexism is still sexism, but it might work to my advantage here.)

No such luck. smiley - blue It's got me pretty depressed, I'm barely functional at this point. Can't face the thought of another summer in that place, with even more unsocial work hours.

Thanks, you two.

I've decided my job isn't worth being this miserable and have just quit. smiley - zen I have part-time work in the open air museum over the summer, which I can supplement with tour guiding, and after that it might just be time to head back to Germany...

Post 37

Dmitri Gheorgheni, Post Editor

That sounds like a plan. smiley - hug I hope the summer is enjoyable and fun, though.

Thanks. smiley - smiley I've not had a proper summer off for over 10 years - we never got real holidays as a student - so I've decided that I've earned it. And I need to quit that job for my own mental health.

Besides, I'm fairly good at saving up for a rainy day, but terrible at realising when the rainy day has come, so I can get by part time for a bit. Better to do this before I have dependents...

Amen to that. smiley - ok Be sure to give yourself a proper holiday.

Good Friday is my last day smiley - zen

And I took last weekend off to go to a reenactment event in Co. Offaly. Think I ran into one of your Gaels there, a fire juggler. Everyone said they just wanted to touch him - not in *that* way, it's just he reminded everyone of a cat. And it was hard to tell his age, he was really short, barefoot in Ireland in March, and seemed quietly amused about everything.
