Everybody wanted a piece of me, at the end, when I was alive, and even after that they didn't stop, chipping bits off the stone and finally stealing the durned thing. Folks was nice and all passed the hat for a fine new stone for me and Tom and Charlie. And then they got the other gravestone back and now I have two. And the two stones is locked in a cage, and if there's a moral in that then I don't care to look fer it.
