Thermite?

Thermite is an incendary mixture of (I think) Aluminium and ferric oxide. When lit (usually from a long magnesium fuse) a large flame shoots from the top of the pile of thermite burning everything above it. Everything below is destroyed by the molten iron that drips from it.
I made some in chemistry a few weeks ago. It was cool. I kept the formula (although I can't remember it off hand) so I could make somemore sometime.
They don't call me Sick Bob for nothing.

And I think that the part that ignites the rest is a mixture of carbon, some sort of soft wax, and potassium nitrate.
