The missing dollar
Three men agree to share a room in a motel since they're only staying for one night and they're all cheapskates. The room costs $30 so each man puts in $10 to give the $30 required. Later that night the hotel manager realises the room should only have been $25 so he hands a bell boy $5 and tells him to give it back to the occupants of the room. When he gets there the bell boy realises that he can't split $5 between 3 people and so gives the men $1 each and keeps $2 for himself.
This means each man paid $9 for the room and the bell boy has $2.
3 x $9 + $2 = $29
So where's the missing dollar?
