Do people eat kebabs when sober? Of course. Not very often though.

The real question should be why do people prefer to eat them at 3am? Much more popular with lightly toasted males at around chucking out time. I can't help thinking it's because they've been thinking about pulling all night, and as the evening concludes having been thinking about vaginas for a good portion of the night, they go out and buy a kebab because it fits the desired gestalt.

Opinion?

Ooh, I never thought of kebabs in THAT way before. That's quite disturbing (although insufficiently disturbing to put me off smiley - winkeye ). It's an interesting theory, but I'm not convinced.

Kebabs are certainly popular with lightly toasted (or indeed well toasted) males after a night on the gargle, but my preferred explanation is more to do with the suspension of the critical faculties of said males in that condition. My experience is that drunken blokes will eat pretty much anything after the pub, and are as likely to go for a burger, something and chips, pizza or a Chinese take-away as a kebab. The most important factor is probably what kind of fast food shop is nearest to the pub.

I remember an old Ben Elton rant about getting in from the pub and eating cornflakes and water because that's all there is - most of us have been there! smiley - cdouble

I tend to eat kebabs mainly as a late night treat after training, when I'm sober. I realise that I'm in a minority, but I actually enjoy them. I enjoy all kinds of junk food - I like burgers and curries too. They're tasty.

When I go out for a night on the beer (and I don't go out on the pull, or think about it, so maybe this supports your hypothesis) and I want something to eat on the way home I invariably call in to the Chinese take-away for a portion of plain noodles and beansprouts.
