Hi Emmily , sorry didn't reply sooner got distracted, still these things happen for a reason or so I keep telling myself. Just thought I'd say thanks for the message, nice to know it's people rather than machines to welcome us newbies. Nice to hear from you Ken, hope you've been enjoying the exploration of hootoo, and found lots of things to interset you.

I've been nosey, and had a peep at your PS (Personal Space) Text Box coding. You've changed to GuideML, but not used any of the tags. We have 'Paragraph' tags, if you put a at the beginning of a paragraph, and a where you want the paragraph to end, your text will be split into paragraphs. You can find out more about GuideML tags at Spicing Up Your User Page A690518 or Buffy's Guide ML Help Page A2669051 they are more user friendly than the official GuideML Clinic - A187229

Where did you go abroad, I assume you're back now, or have I misunderstood that?

fuerta ventura and tenerife, and yes back for now. been doing some research for my pet project. working on an sonar system that doesn't boil poor little dolphin's melons.
slow progress though, stupid gov'nment their attitude is if aint broke don't fix it. worst offenders are deep sea oil exploration vessels really scrambles cetaceans 'fix' of location.
Looking forward to taking HooToo with me next time , should provide some light relief after doing some serious benefactor bum kissing.

There was a programme on TV recently, (Channel 4, I think) about the whale that got itself stranded in The Thames, London, and died during its rescue attempt.

I videoed it, with the intention of using the info to write an Entry about the whale, its journey and its end. Unfortunately I chose a duff video, and the recording is awful, so I'll have to watch quite a few times to get the info from it. One of the things it mentions is the effect of underwater sonar (my memory is real bad, I don't remember much detail) and how it was a strong possibility that sonar was responsible for many deaths of whales, dolphins ect. Connecting their unexplained deaths with increased of sonar activity over several years.

Good luck with your research, it sounds like to have a worthy cause.

sonar likely caused the whale to go off course but, unfortunately the cause of death was established as starvation No-one thought to feed it,contents of stomach was squid beaks, algae and 1 small potato.

I remember the stomach contents from the programme, that was sad. I'll try watch the video again and write the Entry over the weekend, though I rarely do what I plan, something else tends to come up.
