Hi Bludragon
Toker Posted Dec 17, 1999
I have been to have a look at your regal headgear. I approve.
Cannot stop now. Still waiting at the Godot page. Can see that I shall have to start re-casting.

I am traveling with a circus at the moment. --previous engagement-- and cannot be there for a day or so, but I will be along directly.

Hi Bludragon
Toker Posted Dec 18, 1999
oh, how the mighty are fallen... reduced to being an act in a big top.
Must go now. Very busy. Waiting.
Hi Bludragon
billypilgrim Posted Dec 18, 1999
Oh, bluDragon, not to change the topic, but...
I had an odd dream last night (or actually early this morning) just as I was waking. You were in it. No, you weren't in it. But when I woke, I thought "Ah, yes, bluDragon was trying to tell me something Important."
I don't normally have these sorts of dreams.
The odd part was that when I woke up, I knew what it was you were trying to tell me, and it made perfect sense. But then I fell asleep, and I lost it somewhere amongst the covers. Perhaps the cat batted it away....
Anyway, if a visitation of sorts it was, I would much appreciate a repeat. And if it was only an odd dream, than no harm done.
Meanwhile, I'll be on the lookout for that Godot.
Hi Bludragon
Toker Posted Dec 18, 1999
Glad to have caught you both in. I am very worried. Someone has just said to me that I am 'so strange'. Tell me I am normal. Please.
Hi Bludragon
billypilgrim Posted Dec 18, 1999
My dear Toker, I care for you too much to ever insult you by calling you "normal."
Hi Bludragon
Toker Posted Dec 18, 1999
Thank you Bill, for those reassuring words. I am sure BluD would be equally supportive, if she was here. She's not still standing in front of that mirror in the crown room, is she?
Who's turn to put the kettle on?
Hi Bludragon
billypilgrim Posted Dec 19, 1999
The kettle's already on, m'dear. (Odd how we can be at the beach and here having tea at the same time... But hey, that's the virtual world for you.)
Well, I hope bluDragon's away for pleasure and not for business. I miss her scaly highness.
Hello, Anonymouse. Care to join us for some tea? I've made Snickerdoodles. Mmmmm.

Your Majesty,
I just wanted to wish you a cool Yule!
I'm off to the frozen north of England tomorrow (Monday) to spend the festive season with my family, so I won't be online much for the next two weeks as there's no computer there (though I do plan to drop into the one Internet cafe in West Yorkshire at some point!).
Take care, watch out for low-flying sleighs, and I'll see you early in the 21st century!
Hi Bludragon
Anonymouse Posted Dec 19, 1999
You're not coming back for a whole year?!? *grins and ducks*
Hi Bludragon
Ormondroyd Posted Dec 19, 1999
No need to duck, 'nonny. This is the season of goodwill to all mice. But for you and any other pedants out there, I meant that I will be back in early January 2000.
Happy now?
(God, the very thought of a YEAR without h2g2... I can't even face a fortnight without it! The nearest Internet cafe to my folks' place is about 10 miles away, but I'll certainly be making that journey!)
Hi Bludragon
Anonymouse Posted Dec 19, 1999
*grins* Where I live, the nearest -town- is that far... well.. town with an actual populace, anyway.
Hi Bludragon
Ormondroyd Posted Dec 19, 1999
Which particular wilderness do you live in then 'nonny, if you don't mind me asking?
Hi Bludragon
Toker Posted Dec 20, 1999
Getting a bit pissed off with you, your Majesty. Just when I need a strong dose of your hangover cure, you are nowhere to be seen.
And tomorrow, I have another party. A slash of red lippy, climb again onto those killer heels and dance the night away.
Cure desperately needed for Wednesday morning, British time.
Hi Bludragon
Anonymouse Posted Dec 21, 1999
Actually (and I don't know why this is, but...) the best cure I've ever found for a hangover is a bit of Heinz® Tomato Juice with a sprinkle of black pepper (no salt). No other brand has done it for me as yet, and likely never will, considering.
Hi Bludragon
Toker Posted Dec 22, 1999
The only Heinz product around is ketchup. So here goes, add a little black pepper, spoon it into my mouth. And another.
Interestingly, when it re-emerged a few seconds later, it created a pattern on the tablecloth, almost, but not exactly, entirely unlike a map of the UK.
Hi Bludragon
Anonymouse Posted Dec 22, 1999
Don't feel too badly about not being able to find it. The -only- place I ever did was, get this, the bar I got the hangover from.. only one, mind you... in little cans. It sure was good, though, and I never have figured out why more places didn't carry the stuff.
