Malabarista - now with added pony

The invasion must be underway. Gmail just felt the need to inform me - in the space usually reserved for an ad - that "you can make a lovely hat out of used aluminium foil". No link to any external site. smiley - weirdsmiley - aliensmile

smiley - roflIf it appears again Mala, please smiley - grovel capture it with a screen shot. Some of those adds are really surreal and the best of them disappear before you look a second time.

But why 'used' tinfoil? Maybe the food traces add a certain something?

the thing I like about the tinfoil hat is that some knowledgeable folks actually did a study of how they affected radio waves. And found that they actually amplify signals in the range 1.2GHz to 1.4GHz (which are bands allocated in the US to the Govt. for radio comms and satellites) and the 2.6GHz used by mobiles.

They conclude
"It requires no stretch of the imagination to conclude that the current helmet craze is likely to have been propagated by the Government, possibly with the involvement of the FCC."

I like geeks with time on their hands and technology to play with smiley - smiley

Those of you who cannot remember life before cable and satellite TV may not know this, but we used tinfoil to increase the reception of our 'rabbit ears' antennae, back in the day. smiley - snork
