A meet for later in the year sounds great. People tend to do things on weekends over the summer anyhow, so I think I would have missed the boat for this one.

My plan was to meet up in the morning, take everyone on a tour of Shrewsbury in the afternoon, and then have the traditional pub session of an evening (possibly a tour again, depending on what people want - Shrewsbury has a spiffing amount of good pubs).

Pretty good. Something involving eating would be a welcome addition. What sights of Shrewsbury would we be seeing?

Basically, it would be A50585240 (although we can change it if needed). Eating is easy; Shrewsbury is small enough that you're never too far from an eating place (or a pub, for that matter).

I might be able to make it, but we can't really take holidays that close to Christmas so I'd have to get somebody to swap with me if I'm working that day.

Ah, sorry about that; I'd forgotton that it's That Time Of Year. It's been decided on the 21st of November if that's of any help.

I'll see what I can do. If I have a word with the manager doing the schedules he might agree to not have me on that day.
