Not too bad. Went to work and stuff, but now I'm just lazing around.

No birthday plans?
Did you get any nice surprises? Treat yourself?

I could use this money my relatives sent me to treat myself. Hmmm, wonder what I should get.

Thanks B'El.
So, Ye Olde London again. There was talk of finding a different drinking den. Anyhow, I've already spent my money on DVDs and computer games. Played Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon way into the night. Favourite bit was when you get to threaten an armed guard with a pencil. This was completely unnecessary and advance the plot not a jot, but it made me laugh.

A different pub ? Why that ? Did the landlord say they'd not have us anymore ?
Threaten an armed guard with a pencil ? Did it work ? It sounds funny

Well, you don't get shot or anything (you're cunningly disguised - specifically you're wearing a blonde wig), but it doesn't help you at all. I suspect there's quite a few things like that in the game. I'll have to play it again and see if I can find them.
When writing about game characters I'm never sure whether to use first, second or third person.
I think people were getting bored with the pub. The drinks weren't cheap either.

I wasn't aware of this discussion. Well, it doesn't really look as if I'll be able to go this time, and who knows what will be next time

Well, it obviously came to nowt. I'm going to be at Hypatia's Presidential meet this summer, so I think I'll give London a miss.

I'm going to have to pay more attention to the birthday pages so I can reciprocate on the appropriate days.

To be honest, I wouldn't have known hadn't it been for GB's post to a thread I was still subscribed to.

Yeah, happens to me a bit. Threads in edited entries particularly seem to get a newbie turn up not realising how long it's been and assuming the conversation is ongoing. Not that there's owt wrong with that - it's sometimes nice to have an old thread renewed. Especially one I get ed in.
