Oh, yes, I posted to quite a few dead threads in edited entries when I was a newbie. That's really discouraging to never get a reply and not realising why that is.
Maybe we should invite some more friends to come here and you?

Too much ing's probably not good for me.
I generally like to reply to the old threads, but that's probably several hours after the newbie's disappeared disappointed.

That's their problem then, it's not a chatroom, so replies may take their time. It's nice if you're still subscribed to your entri9es and the old threads, so there will be a reply for the newbies. I think the problem often is, that they reply to an old entry, where the author has long since left hootoo.

Aye, 'tis true. I remember one guy posting something like "Why won't anyone talk to me?" about two minutes after his original post.

Yes, too many seem to think this is a chatroom or a messageboard. I can't help them, and they ususally don't come back once they've found out.

Ah well. Not much to do about that. All sites get many more signing up that stay for any length of time.
Must be off now, so don't expect another reply today.

There Will Be Blood, which was good. Funny and tragic, though it seemed to lack focus.

That's the hot favourite for the Oscar, tonight, isn't it?

Is that right? I guess it's an Oscary film, but I worry that the Academy judges will be nodding and saying, "Very moving drama," about the bits we were laughing at.

I only heard it on the news headlines...I prefer the Razzies myself, and there's been no mention...found them on the Web though

Whoops, missed this thread. I just checked out the Razzies, which underwhelmed me somewhat this year. I've never heard of I Know Who Killed Me, for it was not released over here.

Not that I've seen the other two films, but I was aware of them. It takes the fun out of the Razzies a bit when half the awards go to some film you've never heard of.
