Birth, Death, And All the Good Stuff in the Middle

I was born. Where and when are not important, it is merely a statement of obvious fact. My birth proved to be the catalyst for the remainder of my life thereafter. (Please note: the previous statement is not intended to make any real sense) The Random Quotes Guild badge I first read DNA's most famous work when I was 14. My infamous (well, infamous within the family...and Interpol) travelling uncle bestowed my first dog eared copy upon my person before I left on my first solo trip to the USA. It was an original edition that he bought in London the last time he was there. I later found the rest of the 'trilogy' in various used book stores from the Yukon to Nova Scotia. When I would travel, either by bus or train (couldn't afford a plane at that time) I always made sure I had atleast one of the books with me. And a towel. You would be amazed at just how handy a towel can be. Every once in a while I would buy another copy of one of the books and leave it on buses or in terminals for others to read. These days I am rather tied down to my business and don't get to travel.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
