Things are good with me.
Tonight is the staff dinner that I'm not all too sure about going to. I dont know how long its going to be, and it could very well be boring. Also it is unfortunately happening at a resturant that I swore I would never eat at again. Its attached to the building that I work in and I know that it has big rats and cockroaches and things.... I'm sure lots of resturants have that.... But just knowing that its there Also the smell that comes out of the back is something aweful!!!
I have lots of homework to do... But yesterday I got all the homework that is due today done at school and so I got to relax when I got home. I watched The Wild and then part of Definate Article. I'm either going to watch The Care Bears or the rest of Definate Article this morning
Whats new with you?
I have to go and get ready for school now. Talk to you later

Hey! I hope the meal went well, I think you've probably been to it by now.
For my mum's birthday, a couple of weeks ago now, we went to this pub called 'The Pineapple' for a meal. It was ok... the pub was supposed to have a Ye olde world sort of feel, which kind of worked. They did have these funny log effect plastic tables and benches inside the pub itself though, which made me raise my eyebrows a bit. We sat outside, and the garden itself was quite nice. There were lots of flowers and a very smart decking area, which must make a lovely home for the rat who came and kept us company while we were waiting for our food...
.
I do wonder if resturants are allowed to have rats so close to their food, with health and safety and all.
The Care Bears! I haven't thought about them in ages! What are The Wild and Definite Article about?
Oh and I went to the doctors a couple of days ago..I saw the nurse. Unfortunately I'd just washed my hair, which had soothed the itching somewhat, and she couldn't see anything to worry about. In about fourty five mins I'm going to phone and make another appointment to see the doctor this time. Apparently you can only phone at either 8am or 11 am.
Hope to talk to you soon.
Peace

"I do wonder if resturants are allowed to have rats so close to their food, with health and safety and all."
I dont know, I dont think they're supposed to have rats. Probably they have to have rat traps all over the place and stuff.... Thats what we have at work. I think lots of resturants probably have rats...
"The Care Bears! I haven't thought about them in ages! What are The Wild and Definite Article about?"
The wild is about these zoo animals that escape. Well one escapes and the rest of them have to try and save him and bring him back. Its really great! Although I'm biased... Eddie Izzard was the voice of the Koala. Definate Article is an Eddie Izzard stand up comedy thing, its soooooo funny!!!http://www.auntiemomo.com/cakeordeath/DAtranscript.html
I had to change my MSN name, my mom said that without the full quote it sounded like I was a "racist git"...I dont like the one that I have now as much, but oh well... At least I dont think it will offend anyone.
"Oh and I went to the doctors a couple of days ago..I saw the nurse. Unfortunately I'd just washed my hair, which had soothed the itching somewhat, and she couldn't see anything to worry about."
Dont you hate it when that happens!!! It happens to me all the time Did she act like you were making it up? I always feel like such a faker, even though I know I'm not.
Fortunately the last time that happend to me I went to annother doctor and they told me I actually had pneumoia! So I wasnt faking!!! Or is that unfortunately?
"In about fourty five mins I'm going to phone and make another appointment to see the doctor this time."
Oh good! I hope you get better really really soon!!! And I hope you dont have to put any oily ointment on your head or anything horrible like that.
"Apparently you can only phone at either 8am or 11 am. "
Thats a really strange way to do things...
It was sooooo good to talk to you today!!
I'm listening to The Smiths. I'm totally completely addicted to them!!! I'm addicted to Morissey too! Its terrible..... I cant stop listening to them. I like alot of the lyrics, not all, but alot.

<> Probably, I guess they must be hard to get rid of.
<<..Eddie Izzard was the voice of the Koala. Definate Article is an Eddie Izzard stand up comedy thing, its soooooo funny!!!>>
Ah Eddie Izzard, now I understand.
<>
Probably unfortunately...but at least you're all better now. I know what it's like to feel like no one beleives you, it's really annoying at best.
Actually I think the nurse beleived that I had something that was making me itch, she just couldn't find anything in particular wrong, and only the doctor could prescribe anything to soothe it, so it's off to the doctor for me.
Anyway I found out (apparently) what was making me itch, it was/is head lice..which is annoying. Sis brought some home from school a month or so ago,we thought we'd gotten rid of them, but I found some so... I've done some head lice treatment(yay oily ointment!).. and stuff, but that still doesn't completely explain away all of the symptoms, like I still feel unwell, and I still have a lump on the back of my neck.
So yah..oh and it seems my doctor and yours have something in common, they both seem to dissapear off for a couple of weeks every so often just when you get ill. But I'm ok, I get to see the new doctor and apparently she's nice.
Wow did I just spend a whole paragraph talking about minor health problems.?
Anyway, it's good to talk to you too.
<<I'm listening to The Smiths. I'm totally completely addicted to them!!! I'm addicted to Morissey too! Its terrible..... I cant stop listening to them. I like alot of the lyrics, not all, but alot.
Cool, I've heard of both, but can't remember any songs. I ran an search to see if that jogged my memory- it didn't, but then we have no sound on the computer yet so I couldn't listen to any clips.
hmm rambling a little now..
Hope everythings ok with you.

"Probably, I guess they must be hard to get rid of."
Yeah, I dont know why...But I think that rats are hard to get rid of.
"Probably unfortunately...but at least you're all better now. I know what it's like to feel like no one beleives you, it's really annoying at best."
Its so annoying!! Also it makes me feel like a hypocondriac. My friend Job says I'm just being insecure but I dont want to end up like my Nana. Shes got to be one of the biggest hypocondriacs I've ever met!!
"Anyway I found out (apparently) what was making me itch, it was/is head lice..which is annoying. Sis brought some home from school a month or so ago,we thought we'd gotten rid of them, but I found some so... I've done some head lice treatment(yay oily ointment!).. "
Wow! Poor you! Its brave of you to admit it as well..... I had them when I was in grade one I think and I was so ashamed! Because of course sterotypically only dirty people have lice right? Turns out they actually like clean hair even better, or so my former hairdresser told me. I hope they go away soon, its an annoying thing to have!
"Wow did I just spend a whole paragraph talking about minor health problems?"
Its ok. I do it all the time. I dont mind hearing either. Its interesting and I like to know whats going on with people I care about.... Also its only fair if I listen, I know I talk about my health all the time!!
"Cool, I've heard of both, but can't remember any songs. I ran an search to see if that jogged my memory- it didn't, but then we have no sound on the computer yet so I couldn't listen to any clips."
I was going to offer to send you some music over MSN but if you dont have any sound that wont help. Then I was going to offer to send you a CD in the mail... But I dont have you address so that wouldnt help either! I'm full of useless suggestions just now. Really I'm just so eager to share music! Usualy I dont like to share the music I like with people, but if they're good enough friends I get very excited and I just go crazy about it!
"hmm rambling a little now.."
Its always good, I think sometimes peoples best thoughts are in rambels
Oh man.... so random.... writing rambles reminded me of the song Remember you're a Womble. So funny!
"Hope everythings ok with you."
Things arent bad. I think I have a cavity.... But I'm afraid of the dentist.
Hope everythings good for you.
Ooh.... Just so you know... There was no point going to that class. We didnt do much and we didnt get any marks for it. I spent the entire class doing a rough copy for my english thing... So at least it wasnt a total waste of time

Hey, I think I should probably reply...sorry I haven't been around much.
<>
Aww yeah I know what you mean. When someone in your family has their own things they get so worked up about, it can be quite worrying to thing you're taking after them!(*thinks of her mum*) Hm yes very disconcerting.
As for you being a hypocondriac, I doubt it. If doctors are going to be impatient that's their problem, I really don't think they should treat their patients any differently simply because they don't think there's anything to worry about. The little things are part of their job to check too, besides they're not always perfect at diagnosing are they? Better to check just in case. ...Of course even if they're really nice, sometimes you still feel self concious and defensive.. think that's one of the reasons I've been hesitant to go to the doctors.
<>
Hey I haven't talked to you about that, did you see the dentist in the end?
Oh and as of yesterday we apparently have speakers on the pc again. I now have the new song from Damien Rice stuck in my head, have you heard it?
Anyway not much going on with me. Hope you're ok.

"Hey, I think I should probably reply...sorry I haven't been around much."
No worries, I understand. I havent been around much lately either. Studying for mid-terms. These few posts are my reward for days of studying. Its far from over yet though!
"As for you being a hypocondriac, I doubt it."
Fewf! Thanks Peace!
"...Of course even if they're really nice, sometimes you still feel self concious and defensive.. think that's one of the reasons I've been hesitant to go to the doctors."
Its almost worse if they're nice! If they're mean then at least you can be really angry at them!! But if they're nice its so much harder. And then I feel stupid.
"Hey I haven't talked to you about that, did you see the dentist in the end?"
My dad has booked my an appointment I think its sometime next month.
*brushing religiously*
"Oh and as of yesterday we apparently have speakers on the pc again."
Hooray!!! .....Oh darn. I cant remember but I think I was going to send you a song or something.
"I now have the new song from Damien Rice stuck in my head, have you heard it?"
Nope, I've never even heard of Damien Rice.... Care to fill me in?
"Anyway not much going on with me. Hope you're ok."
I'm not doing too badly I guess. I'm just going to have breakfast and then go study some more. I have a philosophy mid-term this morning.

Ok, well, Damien Rice is an Irish singer/songwriter. His songs are usually quite melodic and beautiful and he's been compared to David Grey, if you've ever heard of him...hmm what else? His most famous song is called 'Cannon ball' and his new song (which I can't for the life of me remember the name of) is a duet with another girl, and probably one of the most beautiful songs about cheating on someone I've ever heard...
...I'll probably look for some song clips online when I have the chance.

I hope it went well.How are the mid-terms going?

Oh Peace I'm feeling very down in the dumps.
My dad is away visiting my Grandpa in the hospital again and it sounds like hes doing very badly. Also the studying is not going well. I have 3 midterms to write on tuesday and then on thursday I have to do two in class essays. I have only stopped studying to do go out and do one fun thing since Oct. 5th. I have spent all day reading my computers textbook and I have just finished bursting into tears and now I feel quite mopey. I think things wouldnt be so bad if I knew what to expect. My english classes scare me because I'm convinced shes going to aske alot of obscure questions that I wont be able to answer, and my computers teacher is so sketchy that I dont know anything at all and I'm trying to learn it all from just reading the textbook but I dont know if thats enough.
I'm terribly sorry to come on and bother you like this but I feel theres no one else I can talk to right now. My mom would just say something annoying and I dont know about any of my friends. I sent then all an email asking them to come to my birthday party and only one person has replied and she cant come. So I guess I'm just feeling sorry for myself.
"Ooh tests!Good luck."
Thanks!! I'll need it!!

"Awww I'm sure it'll be ok. "
I dont know.... my teeth feel funny to me... Maybe I'm being paranoid.
"I think I may have to book an appointment too, actually. My teeth have suddenly become all sensitive and tingly. Hopefully it's just the way I'm brushing or something.*fingers crossed*"
Ohhh.... good luck
Oddly enough when I brush my teeth too too often in a fit of dentist induced panic I find that my teeth get more sensetive to things.
"...I'll probably look for some song clips online when I have the chance."
He sounds good, I'd love to hear something of his if you have it.
"I think I've asked this before, but what's philosohy like, as a subject?*curious*"
I dont think you have....
They're pretty great. At least I really like them. I dont participate in the class discussions but my mind goes a mile a minute. I dont know about other philosophy classes though... I've had the same teacher for both of them and I love her so much! It could be different with other teachers. Also you have to learn to handle listening to the annoying loud kids that you hate. It seems to always be the ones that I disagree with or find annoying that talk all the time.
I still have a million things to read for my computers class so I shall go get something to eat and then carry on.
Talk to you later

Awwww hun, I'm sorry things are hard...

Oh dear, it can be horrible when someone you care about's in hospital. I always felt like, on the one hand, I wanted to be there- just so I could *do* something, but on the other: I knew I wouldn't know what to do if I was there. I guess all you can do is let them know you love them.
I hope your Grandpa starts doing better soon.
<>
Y'know I think that would probably make me cry too. Is there anyone you can ask about what you need to know, for your computers stuff, another teacher maybe? Someone who's taken a similar course?
Try not to worry about the mid terms too much.
All you can do is do your best to be prepared, and take care of yourself! Remember to take plenty of breaks...mayhaps it would help to take some time to let your mind relax a bit? You could take a bubble bath with some scented candles, or just sit out in the garden and let your mind wander...well that's what helps me when my mind's buzzing, anyway. I'm sure you'll do fine.
<> oh no, how dissapointing.
And don't worry about bothering me, because you're not. I wish I'd been online when you posted this... only I think that would have been roughly 4am, my time!
~~~~~~~~~~~
<> Meh..possibly, but then again you're the best one to know if there's something wrong. I know what you mean about brushing your teeth before you go to the dentist. Maybe it's just because you're more aware, so you brush harder and irritate the gums?
<>
Philosophy sounds like an interesting subject. I know what you mean about the teachers, it's great when you get one that's really good. Mum suggested once that I might enjoy it, but I don't know.. I don't know if I could handle taking a class if I didn't like the teacher/teaching style, and if most of the people who wanted to voice their veiws were people I disagreed with...it could be a little uncomfortable.
Well I should go, my honarary Grandparents are coming round soon. Hopefully I'll be on here or msn later if you want to talk.
Take care of yourself, don't et stuff get you down to much.
Hello Peace, I'm so sorry I missed you on MSN. I would have loved to talk!! Unfortunately I was at school.
I know what you mean. My grandpa lives too far away for me to just run down and see him. Its almost an entire days drive from where I live. Its alright though he doesnt want me to come see him. He wants to be remembered the way that he was. Apparently hes very sick. I mean I've been told hes dying plenty of times before.... Usually I know its not going to happen, this time though I think it might. Hes talking about not going home from the place he is so I think he doesnt expect to be there too long. At least hes happy where he is. I know that hes had a long happy life and doesnt mind dying now. So it wont be quite as bad as when my uncle died. ....Hopefully....
"I hope your Grandpa starts doing better soon."
Me too! I have my fingers crossed despite how unlikely it seems.
I had the computers exam today. It really wasnt as bad as I thought it was going to be!! There were a few things I didnt know, but it seems that I studied enough
Very good suggestions! I went and had a short bath and washed my hair. Then I watched a bit of Unrepeatable, an Eddie Izzard stand-up comedy. Then I went and visited with my mom and brother and then I got to talk to my daddy on the phone. Hes finally home now, he picked me up from school. It feels so good for him to be here again.
<> "oh no, how dissapointing. "
Its ok... It turns out that like an idiot I had planned to have my party on someone elses birthday and as its their 19th everyone is going out with them to go to the bars. No one had the heart to tell me. So its all sorted out now. I've changed the date.... We'll see if anyone answers back this time. If not as one of my work friends reminded me the weekend after my birthday I'm going out with her to pick a pumpkin from a field and then carve it. So at least I've got that!!
"And don't worry about bothering me, because you're not."
Thanks Pece
I really needed someone to talk to.
"I wish I'd been online when you posted this... only I think that would have been roughly 4am, my time!"
Its ok, sooner or later we'll get to talk on MSN!!
At 4am my time I woke up with the most aweful period cramps, I get them really bad. At least this time they werent as bad as they could have been. It still hurt alot though and so I was worried I wouldnt be able to go to school for the midterms and I didnt get much sleep. Fortunately when time came around to get up the cramps had gone for the most part and I only felt like throwing up...... I made it though!!! And now All I have to do is two english in class essays then I'm done.
I plan to take this weekend off. Stargate Season 9 has come in the mail for me and I'm going to watch it all at once. I have to know what happens to Sam and Jack. I must know!!! I'm actually afraid to watch season 9 incase they dont get together and I dont like the new guy or something....
"Mum suggested once that I might enjoy it, but I don't know.."
I think you might enjoy it too. Its pretty good
I got 22/30 on my midterm. The class average was 23.
"I don't know if I could handle taking a class if I didn't like the teacher/teaching style, and if most of the people who wanted to voice their veiws were people I disagreed with...it could be a little uncomfortable."
I just listen to everyone and dont say anything. That way I dont feel like my views are being argued against. Its nothing personal.... If you dont like the teacher though theres nothing you can do and thats terrible!!
What grade are you in now?
"Well I should go, my honarary Grandparents are coming round soon. Hopefully I'll be on here or msn later if you want to talk"
Cool!!! You have honorary grandparents!? Tell me about them?
"Take care of yourself, don't et stuff get you down to much."
Hopefully I'll get to talk to you soon!!
Sounds good. I was thinking, the other day, about when my dad used to go away for work. Sometimes we used to go with him to the aiport and have a meal there or something, which was cool, but the best part was when he came home.
Oooops, I've made mistakes like that. Pumpkin carving sounds fun, though. I did it once a loong time ago, I enjoyed it, but I also learnt that I didn't like the smell of raw pumpkin much.
Oh they're lovely. Mum used to work with one of them, so by the time I was born they were friends of the family. We visited them loads when I was little, so it made sense when someone (can't remember if it was mum or dad) suggested we make them our honorary grandparents. I remember I wrote them a little letter asking them if they' d mind (I was about 6 at the time and they said yes, so we just started calling them grandparents.
Your posts are always so nice and cheerful looking with all those smilies! I always forget to put them in.
"Sounds good. I was thinking, the other day, about when my dad used to go away for work. Sometimes we used to go with him to the aiport and have a meal there or something, which was cool, but the best part was when he came home."
Thats sweet of you to go visit him! My dad was a policeman so we never went to visit him...Although a few days when I was little my dad would take me to work with him, that was really cool!! Also when I was older I would sometimes go to his work after school and do my homework in his office and wait for him to drive me home. What did your dad do at the airport?
"Pumpkin carving sounds fun, though. I did it once a loong time ago, I enjoyed it, but I also learnt that I didn't like the smell of raw pumpkin much."
You've only done it once!? I've been carving pumpkins every year for as long as I can remember, its one of my favorite things to do! Although my hands always get very cold scooping out the insides. Do you stay home and hand out the candy? Do you dress up for halloween?
<>
"Oh yes, did you see it that evening, in the end?"
No I didnt, I let my dad watch it. I played "Dracula's Resurrection" Some computer game I picked up for a few bucks. I'm going to probably let my dad watch the whole thing and let me know what he thinks. To be honest I'm not in a watching DVD's mood, which is odd for me. Right now I'm really in a reading stuff mood. Also playing computer games, I've started a Nancy Drew one. Unfortunately I'm stuck now.
<<What did your dad do at the airport?>> Ooops, I didn't mean to imply that he *worked* at the air port!
No, he was an electronics sailsman. He sold computer chips and stuff to other companies, often in other countries, so he had to travel to conventions in the US and France etc.
Yes we do stay home and hand out sweets and stuff. I don't really dress up anymore, but sister does. She had a 'pumpkin party' to go to this year, actually, and we made her a gothic style dress to wear. It was very simple, and some of the decoration fell off before the end of the evening (we were in a rush, so I only put a couple of stitches in a few of things, and a rose fell off before we even got there!) But the actuall dress is very much intact, and I'm still pleased with the end result.
<< Right now I'm really in a reading stuff mood. Also playing computer games, I've started a Nancy Drew one. Unfortunately I'm stuck now.>>
On a happy note my Grandpa isnt dead he's actually going home from the hospital now!
On a not so happy note someone I used to be friends with has been in the hospital for the last two months becuase he has bipolar disorder. I only just found out. Good thing hes doing a bit better now. He cant read or go on the computer! I'd die! Those are my two favorite things!!!
<<..Also when I was older I would sometimes go to his work after school and do my homework in his office and wait for him to drive me home.>>
Yeah it was actually pretty cool. Or at least I thought it was cool.
" Ooops, I didn't mean to imply that he *worked* at the air port!" Dont worry I may have just read it wrong or something.
"No, he was an electronics sailsman. He sold computer chips and stuff to other companies, often in other countries, so he had to travel to conventions in the US and France etc."
Cool! It must have been nice for him to get to travel around like that. On the other hand it must have been hard on you... I always hate it when my dad goes away even if its for a little bit.
I just had a small fight with my mom. It drives me nuts. Shes so overly sensetive. We agreed that tonight we would sit down and read together.... Nice plan... But she decided to spend time talking with my dad instead and now I'm about to go to bed so its too late. Fine by me, I dont much care. Unfortunately she things I'm mad at her because she didnt get to read with me and then I said I didnt really care and she got even more upset because now she thinks I'm indifferent to spending time with her or something.
"Yes we do stay home and hand out sweets and stuff. I don't really dress up anymore, but sister does."
Poor you! I love to dress up! Its so fun!
It came out alright I'm still in a book reading mood. Right now I'm stuck in a rut though, I seem to only want to read spy novels. The terrible part of it is that I cant find any good/interesting ones.
They sure do! I think its a series of about 20 or so. They're alright. I have suddenly remembered that I hate Nancy Drew though so I'm not playing it anymore. I dont think I ever will either.
"No, not at the moment, hopefully soon."
Are you enjoying your time off?
I think its a really cool idea. I dont really see it as being morbid...Just being prepared. Although I can understand there are some that wouldnt like it.
I'm trying to say what I want but not be too serious. It could get very dismal if you dont throw in the odd joke.
