h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

*Well, I don't know about you guys, but I'm going to orchestrate a few more "deaths" You guys should come up with a strategy. Maybe a group search of every room?*

Sounds too much like hard work to me...

Good plan! I suggest we search the rooms in order. I'll finish my list of paintings as we go.

Okay, then. Room 001 is Affy's.

*Checks the door and finds it open. Leads the group inside. They find everything that has been revealed in the "Affy's room" thread (which is nothing beyond the room description)*

Aha. A revolver painting.

*Scans the books on the bookshelf.*

Hmmmm. This one seems a bit out of place.

*Pulls "Chicken Soup for Dummies" off the shelf*

*The bookshelf, of course, slides back, revealing a small room with the usual TV monitors that don't show anything, and the door that is locked.*

}I'm going to bed.{


[Hereinafter, indicates Mew dematerializing, and rematerializing]

I need to freshen up a bit. I'll be back shortly to continue the search.

*WM leaves for her room.*

I feel much better now. I think I'll have a cup of coffee before I continue searching the rooms.

*She pours a and walks toward a chair near the fireplace. As she lifts the cup to her lips she stumbles on a bump in the carpet and spills coffee down the front of her suit.*

Oh, d*mn. I can't ~believe~ I just did that. I'd better try to get this coffee out before it stains.

*She heads through the dining room into the kitchen, taking a quick look around. Seeing no one present, she heads for the sink. She quickly looks through the drawers for a dish towel, which she finds stacked right next to the rubber gloves.*

Perfect!

*She rolls up the gloves and stuffs them up her right sleeve, as her left sleeve is already occupied. She proceeds to blot the spill on her suit with the dish towel and turns to leave the kitchen.

On her way out, she notices the Cuisinart food processor on the counter, the blades and discs nearby. She carefully picks up a shredding disc and places it in her pocket and returns to the Sitting Room.*

Okay, are we on to room 2, next?

[Quoth the Murkrow, returning from his expedition to 42 Adams Drive, flaps in]

[Quoth the Murkrow] Nevermore! I am not going to flap around here! Nevermore!

Okay, on to room 002 - GL's room.

*BBW leads the party into GL's room. A search of the room reveals the following items/information:

A dead android.
The picture shows a noose.
A note! The note reads:

Garius,
I'm afraid that your life is in grave danger. Minos had powerful allies. Your best hope is to step into the secret room (you know the way) and control this android from there. There are TV monitors in that room which should enable you to see through the android's eyes.

Aha! This tells us alot. First, GL murdered KL's android and he did it under instruction. Secondly, the monitors, etc. in our secret rooms are intended for controlling the androids. Thirdly, um ... thirdly ...

*Thirdly?*

The plot, as they say, thickens. If we do this, won't we bust absolutelty everyone who has comitted murder, though?

[Eek! I had no idea the game was still ongoing! It's weeks since it showed up in "My Space"! I had a problem with threads becoming "unsubscribed" without my knowledge - I guess this was one of them... Hang on while I read the backlog before making my grand entrance... Sorry about this...]

[On his way to the sitting room, Peet bumps into the crowd in the doorway of GL's room.]

Howdy folks! Beautiful morning! What *was* in that coffee?

What's going on in there?

[Somebody show me the list, please...]

*WM takes the opportunity to slip away unnoticed while the crowd of guests jostle each other in the hall.*

[The list of weapons you've all worked out between you so far...]

[Quoth flies over to the group]

[Qouth] Oh my god!! Someone killed GL!!

*Returns to the group in the hallway. Notices she forgot to take off the rubber gloves. Quickly removes them before anyone notices and stashes them in her pockets.*

[Are you guys just now noticing GL's death? Wow. By the way, I'm nominating him for the "Most Unique Position to be Discovered Dead In" award]
