terribly sorry to inflict this on you but....
Posted Jan 6, 2005
I wrote a play! The one i was going on about before. Sadly it does not contain pixies or fairies. It does, however, feature a bitter alice in wonderland, and a middle aged peter pan.
It's very loosely based on my very dear friend Sophie who lost her mother about 4 years ago. She would kick my ass if she found out.
I would be honoured if anyone could find the time to read it but if not tis probably wise.
It's called 'a game for four', kicking around with the guide entries on this page somewhere.

right had enough now, they're letting me see everyone elses posts but they're not letting me reply to anything or at least not showing me that i've replied to anything and not showing me any more posts from the point that i last replied even though i can't bl**dy see it. It is an understatement to say that i'm p*ssed off. So see you all when i see you.

dammit there's something seriously wrong with my space, it's decided it's not going to show me any new entries but i can still reply to my old ones so if i'm not around for a bit it's because it's all far too confusing and i'd rather ignore it and hope it sorts itself out.

shoulda been born a pixie
Posted Oct 14, 2004
i haev to come up with a premise for a play for next week. meh. so far I have: A girl who's getting over her mother's death (but we don't know that it doesn't become clear until the end of the play)
and she's going to be obsessed with the garden
or at least the garden will play a part in her getting over things
I think something about she won't go into the garden.
But every so often a character will come on stage to talk to her
And the characters will be imps or pixies or some kind of folk lore type person
Because she always said her mother was like an imp and she imagined her living with the pixies now
And they'll all try and persuade her to go and tend to the garden
And i think the imps and pixie people will represent people in the girls life that are helping her.
And somehow it'll be about growing up in a village and how the community pulls together for you when you need them
Except in this case the community is represented by pixies.
And then at the end she'll go and look after the garden so her mum kind of lives on.
Or something
................so back to the drawing board then.....

new media

new media in performance = scary scary subject, just done some reading where the body is described as obsolete. eek!
and then myself and my house mate went off on one about technology being a new religion. double eek!
I am your god, I am technology, I suspend your disbelief. The young will love me. Every generation will love me, or hate me, but need me. You all need your fix of my faster, better, newer love. I can make the stars fall from the sky for you, I can bring your nightmares to life in widescreen, I can bring you your dreams in 3D virtual reality. Your belief in me bought me to life and now you worship at my user friendly interface.
