No, Iz doesn't sing with us. She was just in the audience.

Tuesday 18th November

A summary of yesterday is as follows:

1. Went to work.
2. Worked
3. Went home from work.
4. Felt sick
5. Went to bed

So not much to report there. But as a result of being in bed by 8pm, four and a half hours earlier than usual, I was awake bright and early this morning. The sun is now shining and I don't feel so bad, although I may skip lunch.

I could use the time to brush up my bouzouki entry.

I now have visions of you skipping up Grafton Street, bazouki in hand....

I hope you're feeling better, too.

Oh - I see you are. I read that last sentence as something completely different. Sorry.

I've heard that the weather in Ireland has been very wet and blustery, but are you having the untypically mild temperatures that we are?

Yes, it's still very warm considering that winter starts in only 13 days' time.

Wednesday 19th November

Today was my day off work. Still recovering from being unwell, my appetite has fully recovered - I'm starving - but I'm weak and feeble, when I should be supple and able.

Took down the last hanging basket from the front of the house. It is still flowering but starting to look tatty, so I moved it to the back garden and turned off the automatic watering system. It won't be needed now until spring or summer.

I spent a lot of time today expanding my Dublin Statue Trail entry. Mrs G and her walking friends want to walk the trail, but 8 kilometres is too short so I designed a new version with five extra statues that brings it up to 10k. They plan to do this on Sunday next. Unfortunately the redesigned route now has some long stretches with no statues in them, but I hope what is there is interesting enough.

Tomorrow I have a full day's work, then big choir in the evening. So there should be plenty to write about.

We've a problem in work and I've had to get on to IBM support to sort it out. A Mr Messy has been assigned to deal with our problem. To be precise, he spells it with a German double s which looks like a beta.

I can understand why he'd refuse to reform his spelling in that case.
