I know what you mean. It was pretty confusing for me too at first. The smileys in the posting still trip me up sometimes. When sending a regular email I don't put noses on mine, so out of habit I sometimes still do that here and they come out like instead of . It took me forever to get something on my Researcher page.

Or, you could look up topics that interest you in the Guide and ask questions, give feedback, make comments, etc. I'm sure that a lot of people would be interested in talking more about the topics they've written about. You might also check out the Community page at http://www.H2G2.com/a317567 which lists several areas of interest on H2G2. Greetings newcomers is also a great way to start up conversations and meet new people. The possibilities are endless.
