Martians attacking Indianapolis!

Kurt Vonnegut grew up in Indianapolis.
When he returned for a visit in later life,
he remarked that the buildings were still there,
but all the people he used to know were gone.
It was if the city had been hit with a neutron bomb,
killing the people but leaving the buildings intact.
I feel that way when I drive through the town *I*
grew up in.
There was a story by Nathaniel Hawthorne about a
clergyman who had been preaching for so long
that more of his congregation was in the graveyard
than in the pews.
Very profound comic strip, all in all.

I've never been to Indianapolis.
Is it really that bad?
Or is it just that cities are a mistake in general,
and any one of them would merit Martian attack?

None of them. I just think the martians need some moral support.

Since is so close now, I wonder if they'll be dropping by for a visit ... since they're in the neighborhood ...
