A fortnight til insanity calls.

I'm very excited - I just found another book written by an early pioneer down the road. He's amazing.
'It was Jackson Long, William's oldest son, who in 1850 shot a panther in his den by the light of the animal's glaring eyes.' Twenty miles down the road from here, so help me...
This author, a Presbyterian minister, also wrote an epic poem...wait for it...about the christianisation of Ireland by St Patrick.
How much of this ends up in the book, who knows? Getting there is half the fun, isn't it?

And the church in Ireland brings us nicely back.. No, seriously!
Alas I have no first hand accounts but look forward to reading all those who participate.

Just a few short daily paragraphs on the humdrum 12th century life in the tranquil woodland of this sleepy little peninsula.

Do you have a particular peninsula in mind?

There is only one peninsula in this journal. Think about it.
Just as there is only one island in Bluebottle's.

'The black bear is a big eater, but he never tastes flesh while nuts or berries can be found, and he sleeps all winter.' - Boyd McCullough
I would add, 170 years down the road, 'or pizza, or suet from the bird feeder...'

Bluebottle lives on the Isle of Man, right?
Could you take pity on a forgetful old man and give me the answer? Please? I promise to read whatever FWR writes in November.
The only researcher whose home region I can remember is Prof Animal Chaos. (Well, Sho is in Germany, and Pierce in Denmark, etc. But the English ones are harder for me to remember....)

And Bluebottle will be grabbing his torch and pitchfork about now!

Is that the Paul from Boston, born in Clinton but never got a chance to live there as his parents moved them to the next town over?
Wild guess..
