Yeah, that's the tagline for every band that isn't signed and rich. We're not famous, we're not rich. But we're starting to make money-- and that's a little scary. People are starting to like the music-- but what happens to the songs when the drummer starts acting like a little kid and throwing tantrums? (tantri?)
So here I am, writing anonymously to my little outlet: What do I do about my drummer? He's 42 and thinks it's his band because everyone else in the band is younger (I'm 24), and he hasn't written a single song. Not one. There are 25 songs in our songbook, and he's not got a single byline. The singer writes the lyrics, I write the music.
Oh well. I don't even know what to say to him. But it's getting out of hand, and he's overstepping his bounds.
