Hey smiley - smiley
Er, started on Dec 1st last year, so just short of 5 months.
Not bad considering. Unfortunately with the new client, jobs run through slower, because they do more testing on the data, plus it depends on what size of machine you run it on, etc, etc. I leave mine on all the time and have a cache that holds loads of units, tho generally I limit it to 5 or 6. But if I know I am going away for a bit, then I can load up many units and leave it running. smiley - smiley
I was going to drop you an email next week to see how you are doing.
haven't been on here that much recently as work is very busy, you happen to have caught me in lurk mode smiley - winkeye

That`s one of my favourite modes.I`m doing allright just now but am a bit p****d of with work, thinking of looking for something else that doesn`t need qualifications or experiencesmiley - erm.Why do employers always insist on the two things I don`t have?Anyways how`s yourself, hope you`re not being kept to busy at work.

Actually just been down to Reading for work Mon/Tue.
Don't know what I did wrong to deserve that. It was crap, still 2 days away from normal work.
There must be plenty of things out there for you.
Glad to hear you are well on the way to sucess with SETI.
(You have done the same number of units as one of the members of the team I am in, but they have taken about 3 months to do them, they keep forgetting, or can't be bothered. Oh well) smiley - winkeye
Apart from that life is as crap as ever.

I take it the novelty value of watching it process info doesn`t last too long.

Assume you are running on Screensaver mode? In which case, I'm not sure. I quite liked it, but we opted for the faster method of crunching the units. Speed over Aesthetics smiley - bigeyes

You`re not going to believe this, I logged out by accident a few minutes ago (not looking at the buttons properly ) and when I logged back in I was registered as a new researcher again.I`ve sent an email to feedback so hopefully they can sort it out quickly.
Speak to you later

I'm sorry R175723, you've lost me on that one.
Who or what is Arnell and what or where is USGA?
Pardon my ignorance, but nice to hear from you all the same smiley - biggrin

Arnel is a person of sorts....that is trying to communicate with beings, presumably from his home planet, and is involved with the S.E.T.I. program.....He is now functioning as a draftsman, for a company with the initials USGA.....I think he is here by mistake. The funny part is, so does he! All the best. -GTR

Ah, GTR I sort of understand now smiley - biggrin
He is not me, and I haven't heard anything from his home planet yet either, (or any planet as far as I am aware smiley - sadface) Still, hit 290 today.
So are you a SETI person yourself? Perhaps we should carry this on at your space if you fancy, under the initial message I left you last week? I don't mind either way, just sometimes it is easier for me to remember who I am talking to. Also you might want to hit the 'Preferences' button on your page and give yourself a name, unless you are particularily attached to R175723 smiley - winkeye
Drop by and stay for a chat any time, it's nice to meet new people.

B-17....I am still looking for Intelligent life on this planet...it happens...but not often enough...although, I did read and enjoyed "Contact" by Carl Sagen...the movie was enjoyable as well. All the best. - GTR
