Hi Murray, Welcome to h2g2, you appear to have an advantage over me, you've read some Douglas Adams books
I'm Emmily one of the many <./>ACEs</.> (Assistant Community Editors) We’re a bunch of volunteers who enjoy h2g2 enough to want to help new Researchers find their way around what is a large web site, by offering a warm welcome, links and advice.
Have a or & or & put you feet up, relax and let your fingers do the walking

I survived PeerReview and got my Entries in to the Edited Guide If I can, you can too. Though you’ll need to read EditedGuide-Guidelines first.
You can find out about my Entries at Emmily’s Edited Entries - A3809810

Hello my bowl of clam chowder, and how are you this wonderful evening?
Let me congradulate you on recognizing a rather obscure charecter. Even though you don't profess to being a reader, I'm truly not convinced of that.
First, I don't beleive that someone can expose themselves to the material and not get sucked in like vermin to a vacuum cleaner.
Second, you DID recognize an obscure charecter. I know how obcure it is because I wrestled with the bear of a machine across heaven, and most of earth, to New Jersey I beleive, to find a name that hasn't been snatched away before I stumbled across the site
I'm not sure how often I'm going to be around, I tend to lose myself in places like this and forget about real life, untill it bites my posterior. Let me tell you it's not a tender nibble either. My point being, I may be a "newbie" for quite awhile, but have patience
Here's looking forward to seeing you again,
Eric
Ps, Should I stay in Charecter when writing, or slip in and out, as in here?
Thank you from MurrayBostHenson...

Nice to hear from you Eric
Hmmm it was'nt the obscure character that was the clue you had read DNA books, it was your style of writing in your introduction.
If your style is anything to go by, I may be tempted to read some of his books, I have a couple on my bookshelf, just not got around to reading them.
You may not intend to come here often, but h2g2 can be very addictive, you may find youtself geting sucked in.
Whether or not you stay in character is entirly up to you, though it may depend on the conversation thread you are in at the time, some are more serious than others.

is vast landscapeHello my silver salad fork,
it's simply delicious that you took the time to respond to me. For me to wake up and find a message from the first treasure I have uncovered in this vast landscape is an exstacy I can't begin to describe.
I'm just thrilled that you like my little sentance strings, my verbal spaggetti, and if it motivates you to read of the master, DNA (although if I may step out of charecter for a moment, what does the "N" stand for? could it be there is something I do not know about Sir. Adams?) than my work here is done. Although if you stop responding I may become so dispondant that I may hurl myself off the nearest presapice.
I have done some writing before, besides all my spectacular work on Dolphins, for which I am still waiting for recognition.
I have 2 short stories, one would be Sci-Fi, the other would be Horror; although neither is the best representation of their respective genre's. I also have a book half done which would be considered Fanasy.
I have always wanted to write Comedy, I try to put a little in all my little projects, but I just dont have the knack; although if I stay around all the brilliant writers here, some is sure to rub off on me like paint after an auto crash!
Ok, I've got to go gather acorns of information which will surely grow into Oaks of articles in this fertile soil.
It has been just delightful to write to you, my gravel path, my chaise lounge
Murray

I like your charm, as well as your little sentence strings, very pleasing to read.
The 'N' in DNA, is Douglas's middle name Noel - A782822
If I don't reply for a couple or even few days, please don't hurl yourself off the nearest presapice, I'm not sure what a presapice, but I'd imagine doing that would make a mess, that someone else would have to clean up. I get so many posts on my page, sometimes it takes a few days to reply.
Keep gathering the acorns of information, though you may have enough by now

Hello again from MurrayBostHenson...
MurrayBostHenson Posted Apr 11, 2005
Hello to you, grande veiw of the hills.
Since there seems to be only one to tread the newly formed neuron let me make the journalistic jump and assume it's you Emmily.
I've jumped about here and there, found a Spaceballs thread under "Masters of the Multi-Verse", other than that active articles elude my otherwize cat-like instincts. I must be more out of practice than I would have beleived.
I've made a literary blunder and inadvertantly dragged you down as well.
A precapice (notice the correct spelling as well ) would be a chasm, a big hole in the ground INTO which one would hurl ones self. So my threat of hurling myself off a precapice would mean viciously expelling myself off the bottom of a hole...still painful but hardly life threatening.
Will you accept the olive branch? Turn your back on me, spurnned? leave me here to wither in the darkness of my solitude?
Either way it'll make a hell of a story don't you think?
Next edition to be posted soon,
Murray
