I know you have been working incredibly hard, Mrs Zen, pulling everything into one great document.
Are there any gaps that need filling? Stuff that would appreciate a second eye? Just let us know. I've got completely lost recently as my focus has been offline.

I'll do an update tonight, Vip. We are getting there, but there are still some gaps. I had to strip out the images yesterday, because the document kept on crashing. . It should be better tonight.

Absolutely!
Actually - is there a final(ish) version of the process yet? And / or the Volunteer piece? Those are the two things which are most obviously missing at the moment.
Links here would be lovely.

No, unfortunately, given how crucial to the whole thing it is. I will try to write one up this evening and post it for general critique. I will post here when I know what's going on with it.

Reading the Noohootoo.doc right now. It's beautiful, and I feel bad for not really having input.

Wait till you see the stuff that came together over the weekend....
And you HAVE had input Milla - you've been working on the processes here on site, and it takes a special sort of doggedness to do that...

Milla, h2g2 Operations Posted Mar 15, 2011
*likes to be dogged*
But processes are fun? It's not as I'm putting 20000 words in coherent sentences...
Status update
Mrs Zen Posted Mar 15, 2011
Who said anything about coherent?
Besides which - most of the words aren't really mine.
But thanks for the support. It means a lot. It *is* hard work.

Editorial Procedure Diagram (which Milla may want to do as it's not up to her standards):

In doing this it appears that the Publishers are essentially overseers (not mentioned in the diagram). I think that is what we want, as that would be the bottleneck. Please tell me if this is not the case and I will amend (or feel free to do so yourself).
If this is the case though, we may have to change your job description for them in Volunteer and Processes, Milla.

I have also made some alterations to the Entry Status diagram to match the one above more closely. I hope that;s okay, Milla. If nothing else, I've got rid of a few question marks!

There are still kinks to be ironed out of this. In case you're not subscribed: F20643547?thread=8108516&post=107305425#p107303959
I think this needs to be sorted out before we can proceed. I had mentally dismissed the idea of voting, but I think it needs a proper debate. It's a principle thing; should the decision be made by the Community or a panel?

I've made a start on writing out the Showcase procedure at:
http://docs.google.com/document/d/1NTjQoPn0ZP3TCYSuxUKEQXdDZR_wVnxlOmdO00W2qM8/edit?hl=en&authkey=CJPowL8L#
I have just posted asking Jordan to look over it (as he is the person who came up with the idea).

I've put a new version up here: http://www.google.com/url?sa=D&q=http://docs.google.com/viewer%3Fa%3Dv%26pid%3Dexplorer%26chrome%3Dtrue%26srcid%3D0B2ZHau0jbhEIYTEwMjkzMmUtNzA0NC00YTY1LWJhMDYtNDNlOWQwNWZmNDNk%26hl%3Den%26authkey%3DCLvWzbIH
The bits in red are the bits still to do, with names pencilled in against them. I spent tonight redoing every single blasted image in the document in a vain attempt to make the damn thing smaller (some hope).
I've added in Paul's work on Moderation and Discipline procedures, but I've not got to the links and diagrams in this thread. I'll do those tomorrow. At least the damn thing is stable again.
THE BITS IN RED - basically pp 20, 22, and then page 25 onwards are the bits that need working on.
We're getting there, ladies.

You and me, both Martin. On the other hand, most of it has been online here on h2g2 in Magrathea's workshop. That was the purpose of the workshop. Drafting this document
