Even if he's working on Eastern London Standard Time, his milk would still be past its best. The smart lad's added a bit of culture to the milk to make it taste sour - that way, the odd taste is intentional.

It seems to me Mr. Red Dragon drank too much 
and is spewing it against a wall. If it were flames then you wouldn't have that arched trajectory.
