Man vs Horse
Posted Jan 24, 2001
For some reason I have put my name down for the Brecon Beacons Man vs Horse marathon, an annual event where a couple of hundred people try and beat several horses over a 22 mile course, running or cycling.
Went to the gym and ran 1500 metres on the treadmill last week - nearly threw up! Shall have to start looking for training programmes...

Sorted - rigged myself up with a new job. Moving to London within the month.
Anybody got any tips on how to condense 4 year's worth of collected 'stuff' into a Ford Transit?

Job Hunting
Posted Sep 5, 2000
Going well - sent off several CV's to companies and agencies.
Have one major gripe though - why do so few job sites (essential when looking for new media jobs!) allow you to browse their vacancies?
I am a Market Research Executive looking for a sideways step into Knowledge Management and/or Market(ing/Research) Analysis and the positions that I would consider applying for are not neatly categorised, as I'm sure is the case for many people's job description.
Being young and dynamic(!) there are also many jobs that I would consider applying for even though I have little experience per se - hence I want to browse the entire database and decide what 'job title' I would like as a result.
Asking me up front what job title I am looking for seems innapropriate, especially in the fast-evolving world of New Media recruitment.
SORT IT OUT!!

The Big Smoke
Posted Aug 20, 2000
Currently working in Leeds (North of England), I am in the process of moving to London.
I am applying for (incredibly well paid!) jobs in the centre of town but, not wanting to spend ridiculous amounts of money on accomodation, am not likely to be living too close. As a Northener I would appreciate any advice on where to look for cheaper rented accomodation and good motorbike instructors - no way am I spending more than a fortnight on the abomination otherwise known as public transport/The Tube!
