The One and Only, Darren Himself
Darren is a quite froody Earthman who was raised in Adams County, Ohio, USA, Earth. He became a Researcher for the Guide after watching a movie about it on an improbable whim. Oddly enough, he decided to read the Guide for himself, which turned out to be even more improbable. His hobbies are megaplatypus wrestling and flower-print towel collecting.
His favorite Earth television shows include Doctor Who, Mythbusters, Top Gear, Star Trek, and Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman.
He has many favorite books, but a few examples are: "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," by Douglas Adams, "The Hobbit," by J.R.R. Tolkien, "Who is This God Person Anyway?," by Oolon Culluphid, and "The SAS Survival Guide" by John "Lofty" Wiseman.
Darren is an agnostic, lover of the arts (and women), works as the board operator and engineer at his local radio station, and knows how to travel the Galaxy for less than thirty Altairian dollars a day.
