Loose Stools I have known and loved

Well, I told her. It was not pleasant. There were tears (hers not mine). She doesn't want me to leave, and is trying to persuade me to stay with different hours (it wouldn't work) and different pay (its not the money thats important here). I've got to see her today and explain that to her. This wont be easy either.

ulcers (addendum)

I didn't tell my boss. It was her wedding anniversary and I didn't want to spoil her day. Either that or I bottled it. I'm telling her tomorrow.
Probably.

Ulcers I have known and loved.

I am applying for a Public Health SHO post down in Croydon today. Trouble is, my boss will go apes**t when she finds out that I am looking to leave. She expects me to stay for another 2 years, which is career suicide in medicine. I will tell her tomorrow. My work life will then be a living hell until I finally get a job and leave. She has a lot of influence in medical circles, and is not known for taking the prospect of one of her team leaving well.
I think I am developing an ulcer. I am so tired.
Trouble is - I *have* to get a new job soon or I will lose the plot completely. I need a job where I have to think, where I can learn things, and broaden my experience. At the moment it is just 'been there, done that' - which is a dangerous attitude to have in medicine.
My brain has now turned to what we doctors call 'mush'.

A job would be lovely.

I'm bored with what I do now.
If anybody would like to give me a job as a Public Health SHO (or equivalent), I'd be well chuffed. I'd do a good job, honest!
I'm not looking forward to staying much longer in this stinking cess-pit of a hospital where the air-conditioning doesn't work and the food is all mushy.
Bored bored bored bored.

Just thought I'd put down a few tedious sentences about my drab existence.
I'm 27, I'm male, I'm a Yorkshireman. I'm Adam. For the past 3 years I have been trying to pass myself off as a doctor, and I am currently working as a researcher at the Royal Free Hospital in London, which, I'm sad to say, is a bit of a dump. I'll try and write an article on it one day. Qualified from Barts Hospital (also in London), which isn't a dump at all.
I enjoy the finer things in life, such as smoking too much, drinking too much, and not getting any exercise. Which is probably why my girlfriend refers to me as 'fat b*****d'. I'm a bit nerdy too, and do a bit of freelance web design - I am currently working on the web pages for the Royal Free Clinical Trials Centre - http://www.clinical-trials-centre.org
Other than that, not alot to say.
