Grrr. And double Grrrr.

Just spoken to Wycombe personnel dept. They've decided to discount the last two years of my medical career as far as moving me up the incremental pay scale. Why? Haven't a clue. Something to do with the fact that I wasn't a senior house officer, and that's what I'll be when I start my new job in August.
Not a senior house officer? Nope - I was a clinical lecturer which is higher up than an SHO! I've looked at the payscale, and they seem be fleecing me out of 7000 quid a year. I'm not happy about all this.
I am waiting for a phone call from the British Medical Association about the legality of this. If they're pulling a fast one, I shall refuse to sign a contract, and they can stick their job up their greedy backsides. If they aren't pulling a fast one, I'll just shut up 
Its taken the shine off what was to have been a brave new start in leafy Bucks.

I'm leaving the smelly Royal Free for the leafy environs of Wycombe Hospital in August. Oh joy! Oh rapture!
