places without internet access i can understand... but somewhere without even a phone line? surely there is no where left on earth that al bell's fine invention can't reach us?!?!

Well, we have mobile phones, so the only reason to put the phone on is for the internet... and it'll cost more than it's worth just to get it installed, so why bother? We'll have internet access at uni, just not quite as often...
