Viva Laurelindorinan!!!
Ok, so I just don't have the power yet to be to make my page look cool like everyone elses, so I'll just be plain, simple, ol' me for a while longer. Which is fine with me, because I believe that people should be themselves because it's bad when you can't recognise yourself. It's like looking at a picture of your best friend when she was a child and saying "Who is that funny looking kid in the glasses?" only worse.
Questions I hear a lot (aka FAQ's)
Q: How did you get your handle?
A: Well, there were a lot of factors. My first name is really common at school (I share it with at least 1 good friend and several girls on my hall every year), so people started calling me by a shortened version of my last name: Pletch. Then, one fine day, I was talking with a professor who is also a great friend and some other friends. Someone mentioned that I had a "classic profile" (whatever that is). My prof laughed and said that yep, I could be Joan of Arc or St. Theresa, or something. The joke caught on, and I've been St. Pletch ever since. Supposedly, I'm the patron St. of Lost Causes and my offerings always require something in the way of citrus fruit.
Q: Laurelindorinan!!??!?!?
A: The ancient name of Tolkien's Lorien, home of Galadriel and the Last of the Elves. Kind-of a heaven on Middle Earth. Also, Lorien is the name a group of friends and I chose for a group we formed. We wanted to promote community because we believe that having people around you who know you, love you, and continually point you toward God is a necessity in this life. These girls are heaven on earth for me.
